The present invention relates to a Universal Serial Bus On-The-Go apparatus, which comprises: a USB OTG controller; at least one port switching device, coupled to said USB OTG controller for switching a host role or a slave role connected to it, respectively; a first receptacle, coupled to said port switching device for connecting to a first USB device; a second receptacle, coupled to said switching device for connecting to a second USB device; and a state machine logic, coupled to said USB OTG controller for selectively enabling said port switching device by a pre-determined priority and sensing plug-in activity to said first receptacle or second receptacle.

Universal serial bus On-The-Go apparatus

The present invention relates to a memory card reader which has a eject button; an electrical switch which senses when the eject button is in an inactive rest position. When a memory card is inserted through an aperture in the front bezel it sits at a depth to ensure the rear face of the memory card is at least flush with the bezel surface. The memory card acts on a second electrical switch contact to indicate when it is fully seated. Sensing the state of both switches allows the condition of a) the card being fully seated and b) that there is no card movement, to be detected. To eject the memory card the user must use the eject button which acts on an eject lever to push the card outwards through the aperture in the front bezel. The present invention also relates to a method for safely reading from and writing to a memory card reader device.

Method and apparatus for safe data reading and writing to a memory card reader device

The present invention provides a quick save system, connecting to a computer via an interface, and executing data saving process by the computer, which comprises: a housing; an optical drive, positioned in the housing for accessing an optical media; a reader, positioned in the housing, having a smart button firmware and at least one slot therein for accessing the data of at least one flash memory card inserted in the slot; and at least one push button for actuating a process; thereby, the consumer can insert the at least one flash memory card into the slot, and press the button for actuating at least one computer process task to execute data saving between the optical drive, the reader and the computer. Furthermore, the present invention also discloses a protocol, an event monitor program and a smart button firmware of the quick save system.
