Provided herein are methods for treating subjects having conditions related to adrenocortical activity and/or excessive steroid production. In particular, provided herein are methods for treating subjects having conditions related to adrenocortical activity and/or excessive steroid production through administration of at least one of the following agents: 1) an agent capable of inhibiting cholesterol efflux related to ABCA1 and/or ABCG1; 2) an agent capable of inhibiting MDR1 related cortisol secretion and/or MDR1 P-glycoprotein multiple drug transporter activity; and 3) an agent capable of inhibiting mitochondrial activity.

Compositions and methods for treating conditions related to adrenocortical activity and/or excessive steroid production

Methods and compositions are provided for treatment of disorders associated with aberrant adrenal cortex cell behavior, including (but not limited to) treatment of adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), Cushing's syndrome and/or pituitary ACTH excess (Cushing's Disease). Such methods involve administration of an effective amount N-(2,6-bis(1-methylethyl)phenyl)-N'-((1-(4-(dimethyl amino)phenyl)cyclopentyl)-methyl)urea hydrochloride to the patient.

Compounds and methods for treating aberrant adrenocartical cell disorders

The present invention relates to methods and compositions for identifying covalent joining or modification of proteins. In particular, the present invention relates to covalent fluorescence complementation assays for the detection of modified (e.g., ubiquitinated) proteins. The present invention further relates to the use of such fluorescence complementation assays in drug screening and research applications.
