The present disclosure relates to apparatus, systems, and methods for providing a location information analytics mechanism. The location information analytics mechanism is configured to analyze location information to extract contextual information (e.g., profile) about a mobile device or a user of a mobile device, collectively referred to as a target entity. The location information analytics mechanism can include analyzing location data points associated with a target entity to determine features associated with the target entity, and using the features to predict attributes associated with the target entity. The set of predicted attributes can form a profile of the target entity.

Apparatus, systems, and methods for analyzing movements of target entities

Systems and methods are described for controlling a remote system. The controlling involves detecting a gesture of a body from gesture data received via a detector. The gesture comprises an instantaneous state of the body. The gesture data is absolute three-space location data of an instantaneous state of the body at a point in time and physical space. The detecting aggregates only the gesture data of the gesture at an instant in time and identifies the gesture using the gesture data. The controlling then translates the gesture to a gesture signal, and controls a component of the remote system in response to the gesture signal.

Gestural control of autonomous and semi-autonomous systems

Systems and methods for reversible, incremental image shredding in accordance with embodiments of the invention are described. One embodiment of the invention includes determining shredding parameters, generating a shredding map, where the shredding map is a grid of elements that indicates destination locations for at least two of the elements in the grid, and incrementally shredding the image by iteratively mapping blocks of pixels corresponding to grid elements of the shredding map to the destination locations indicated by the shredding map.

Systems and methods for reversible, incremental image shredding

A computer based system utilizing cues extracted from audio speech to select from among a database of stored image cells to produce synthesized animated characters. A database of image cells is created by storing the face of an actor or other character articulating some 40 phoneme sounds, in 8 different emotions from 25 different camera angles. Audio speech is then analyzed and the faces are extracted based on phoneme sounds and emotion cues within the spectral information of the speech. The position of a user operated camera controller is polled to determine a desired camera angle and the three image parameters (articulation, emotion and camera angle) are used to select an image from the database associated with the phoneme. The selected images are interpolated to produce a smooth, life-like character or cartoon animation sequence, and then stored to a video recorder.
