The present disclosure provides a wheelchair restraint mechanism that renders easy alignment between a striker and a latch. One mode of the present disclosure is a wheelchair restraint mechanism for restraining a wheelchair to a restraining member installed on a vehicle. The wheelchair restraint mechanism includes an engagement target portion and an engagement portion. The engagement target portion includes a striker having a rod shape extending in up-down directions. The engagement portion includes: a housing member to house the striker; a latch to limit separation of the striker from the housing member; and a guide member to guide the striker towards the housing member. The guide member includes a first guide surface and a second guide surface, which face each other in width directions of the wheelchair and have a distance therebetween decreasing towards the housing member.

Wheelchair restraint mechanism

The present disclosure provides a wheelchair restraint apparatus that renders easy adjustment of a restraining position of a wheelchair inside a vehicle. One aspect of the present disclosure is a wheelchair restraint apparatus configured to restrain a wheelchair inside a vehicle. The wheelchair restraint apparatus includes a main body having a seat belt, and a restrained mechanism to and from which the wheelchair is attachable and detachable; and a slide mechanism configured to cause the main body to slide with respect to the vehicle. The restraint mechanism is configured to restrain the wheelchair in a state where a part of the wheelchair is inserted to the restraint mechanism in a traveling direction of the wheelchair.

A seat surface part is switchable by a switching mechanism between a forward-unfolded posture in which the seat surface part is forwardly unfolded down so that a first support surface comes into a state at a low position where the seated person lowers his or her body to sit, and a second support surface comes into a state of forming a backwardly inclined surface that is inclined backwardly downward, and a folded-up posture in which the seat surface part is folded up backward from the forward-unfolded posture so that the second support surface is lifted up at a higher position than a position of the first support surface in the forward-unfolded posture, and an upper surface inclined forwardly downward is formed by the backwardly inclined surface so that the second support surface comes into a state at a high position where the seated person perches in a standing posture.

A vehicle seat may include a seat back that includes an upper half corresponding to a shoulder portion of a passenger, a lower half corresponding to a waist portion of the passenger, at least one angular adjustment mechanism and at least one upper half height adjustment mechanism. A vehicle seat may include a seat cushion that includes a central portion, first and second side support portions, and a vertical moving mechanism. The vertical moving mechanism is capable of vertically moving the first and second side support portions in synchronism with each other, so as to change heights of the first and second side support portions relative to the central portion. The vertical moving mechanism is arranged and constructed to vertically move each of the first and second side support portions within a use range thereof in which each of the first and second side support portions has side support function. The vertical moving mechanism is arranged and constructed to further vertically move the second side support portion downwardly beyond the use range to a release position in which the second side support portion does not have the side support function.
