An image processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain three-dimensional image data of a brain acquired by performing a magnetic resonance imaging process. The processing circuitry is configured to generate a projection image rendering a micro bleed or calcification occurring in the brain by performing a projecting process on the three-dimensional image data in a range limited on the basis of a shape of the brain. The processing circuitry is configured to output the projection image.

According to one embodiment, an MRI apparatus includes a data acquisition unit and an image generation unit. The data acquisition unit acquires MR data from an object. The MR data correspond to a sampling region asymmetric in a wave number direction in a k-space. The image generation unit generates amplitude image data, in a real space, based on first k-space data after zero padding to a non-sampling region of the MR data and generates MR image data by data processing of the amplitude image data or convolution processing of the amplitude image data. The data processing converts the amplitude image data into second k-space data, performs filtering of the second k-space data and converts the second k-space data after the filtering into real space data. The convolution processing uses a function in the real space. The function is derived by converting a window function for the filtering.

Magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and magnetic resonance imaging method

A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry performs at least one of data collection for collecting first data of an imaging region of a subject at a plurality of time intervals after a tag pulse is applied to fluid flowing into the imaging region, and data collection for collecting second data of the imaging region by differing at least one of applying or not-applying the tag pulse and a position of the applying. The processing circuitry performs phase correction for at least one of the first data and the second data by using data in which the longitudinal magnetization of the fluid is a positive value, to generate an image for each time phase.

In one embodiment, an MRI apparatus includes: a scanner equipped with at least a static magnetic field magnet configured to generate a static magnetic field, a gradient coil configured to apply gradient pulses, and an RF coil configured to apply RF pulses to an object and receive magnetic resonance signals from the object; and processing circuitry configured to set at least one pulse sequence which includes a labeling pulse for labeling fluid in the object, an excitation pulse applied after the labeling pulse, and a bipolar or unipolar velocity encoding gradient pulse for encoding velocity information of the fluid, and generate an image of the fluid from the magnetic resonance signals which the scanner acquires by performing the at least one pulse sequence.

A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes an execution unit and a generation unit. The execution unit executes first data collection after a predetermined inversion time elapses from a time when a labeling pulse is applied to a fluid flowing into an imaging region of a subject and a second data collection without application of the labeling pulse. The generation unit generates a differential image by using the first data and the second data. Here, the generation unit generates the differential image by a different differential method according to a relationship between the inversion time and a longitudinal relaxation time of the fluid.

MRI apparatus acquires first and second MR data and generates therefrom third image data having higher contrast between blood and background tissues

First and second magnetization vectors are detected for each pixel position in an imaging region including at least part of a subject, the magnetization vector being excited to have a phase difference between a flow portion and a static portion or between a normal portion and an abnormal portion. First and second pixel values at each pixel position are determined as a value proportional to an absolute value of the respectively corresponding amplitudes of the first and second magnetization vectors detected for each of the pixel positions. On the basis of a real part or phase of the magnetization vectors detected for each of the pixel positions, the determined pixel values are corrected so that the difference of pixel values corresponding to third pixel values increases between (a) the flow portion or the abnormal portion and (b) the static portion or the normal portion.
