A welding system includes a welding torch that welds a workpiece by using a wire, a suction device that sucks shielding gas, and a sucked shielding gas supply path for allowing the sucked shielding gas to flow, wherein the welding torch includes a contact chip that guides the wire, a shielding gas supply nozzle that supplies the shielding gas to a weld zone, and a suction nozzle that surrounds a periphery of the wire protruding from the contact chip, and is opened toward a tip of the wire to suck the shielding gas.

Welding device and welding method

A welding torch for arc welding in a shielding gas atmosphere, includes: a contact tip for feeding a welding wire; a suction nozzle surrounding the welding wire, and sucking a gas from a space between the suction nozzle and the welding wire; and a shielding gas supply nozzle provided on the outer periphery of the suction nozzle, and supplying the shielding gas toward a welded portion from a space between the shielding gas supply nozzle and the suction nozzle. The welding torch satisfies '7&#x2264;Ltk&#x2264;17 and 0&#x2264;Lts&#x2264;18', where Lts [mm] is a distance between the tip of the contact tip and the tip of the shielding gas supply nozzle, and Ltk [mm] is a distance between the tip of the contact tip and the tip of the suction nozzle.

Welding torch

Provided is a welding method using a special torch and a flux cored wire, in which the special torch has a suction nozzle between the contact tip and the shield nozzle, and the flux cored wire has a flux filled inside the steel outer casing, and a seam portion where both ends of a metal in a width direction of the steel outer casing are butted or overlapped in a longitudinal direction of the flux cored wire.

Welding method using special torch

A method of controlling the output of a power source in consumable electrode arc welding in which a short circuiting phase and an arcing phase alternately take place between a consumable electrode and a workpiece in a shielding gas atmosphere, the method being characterized by repetition of a cycle of operation consisting of: a first stage of maintaining the output welding current at a first value of a relatively low level upon establishment of a short circuit across a gap between a consumable electrode and a workpiece; a second stage of maintaining the welding current at a second value of a relatively high level succeedingly to the first stage; a third stage of lowering the welding current to a third value of a low level upon detection of necking as a premonition of rupture of short circuiting molten metal between the electrode and workpiece; a fourth stage of, upon generation of an arc across a gap between the electrode and workpiece subsequent to the third stage, maintaining the welding current at a fourth value of a relatively high level exceeding the value of average welding current; and a fifth stage of maintaining the welding current at a fifth value of a relatively low level until the gap between the electrode and workpiece is short-circuited, under control of substantially constant current characteristics to feed current of constant level irrespective of variations in arc length.

Output control of short circuit welding power source

A method and a device for controlling a welding power supply, employing a control device essentially including a first switch means consisting of at least one switch in element to be turned on and off to control the output current of the power supply, second switch means adapted to be inserted in a welding current attenuating path when the first switch means is in off state, and an impedance means consisting of at least one impedance element connected parallel with the second switch means.

Method and device for controlling welding power supply to avoid

A welding DC power supply system suitable for consumable or non-consumable electrode welding, including plural inverter units for converting a first direct current into an alternate current and for rectifying the alternate current to produce an output of a second direct current; a circuit connecting the output of terminals of the inverter units in parallel; a detection circuit for detecting the total output current of the inverter units; and a circuit for varying the number of operating inverter units according to the value of the detected total output current. According to other aspects of the invention, the power supply system is further provided with a phase control means for controlling the phases of alternate currents produced by the respective inverter units, or means for selectively actuating a particular inverter unit or units in a short circuit period of large current in dip transfer welding, or feedback means for suppressing the current in a controlled timing in the final stage of each short circuit period to prevent spattering as caused by bursting rupture of the large short circuit current.

The present invention provides a welding torch weaving device having a first link with an elongated slot and driven by a drive source to make an arc shaped movement at one end thereof, a first movable shaft fitted or secured within the elongated slot in the first link, a second link having one end thereof pivoted in place on the first link and having a second elongated slot, a second movable shaft fitted within the second elongated slot in the second link, a third link having one end thereof pivoted in place on the other end of the second link and a fourth link having one end thereof pivoted in place on the other end of the third link and the other end thereof pivoted on a fixed pivot shaft. A weaving arm is disposed in place on the third link for mounting a welding torch.
