A wire winding apparatus for connecting a plurality of fine wires and a surface-insulated solid wire such as an enamel coated wire. Clamp members clamp an end of the solid wire. Then a winding mechanism pinches an end of the plurality of fine wires with a predetermined force and rotate around the clamped solid wire. During the winding operations, a moving mechanism moves the winding mechanism in a direction of the clamped end of the solid wire. Prior to winding, any excess of the solid wire and plurality of fine wires is trimmed away. After the winding, the solid wire and plurality of fine wires are mechanically and electrically connected.

A method of forming a coiled wire in an annular groove formed on an inner surface of a cylindrical member, comprising the steps of: holding one end portion of a wire discharged from a distal end of a feed nozzle; rotating the feed nozzle about one of a pair of connecting pins provided at one end of the cylindrical member so as to wrap the wire around the one connecting pin; retaining the wire by a hook pin in the vicinity of a point of intersection between the annular groove and an axial groove which extends from the one end of the cylindrical member so as to intersect with the annular groove; rotating the feed nozzle along the annular groove and pressing the wire against a bottom face of the annular groove by a roller at a position disposed downstream in a rotational direction of the feed nozzle so as to not only feed the wire to the annular groove but wind the wire in the annular groove through a predetermined number of turns; and wrapping the wire around the other connecting pin in a state where the wire is retained at the point of intersection by the roller.

In mounting electronic components (1) from an electronic components pack (5) to a substrate (10), the substrate (10) is put on a table movable horizontally in X-Y directions, and the electronic components (1) are held in through holding holes (3) in a holding plate (2). Electronic components are adhesively held by a flexible, expansible and contractible adhesive sheet, and pressing pins pressing one of the electronic component on a position to be mounted on a printed circuit substrate with penetrating the adhesive sheet. A method for fitting a ring coil in a channel formed in the inner circumference surface of a hollow cylindrical member comprises a step of deforming the ring coil by applying a force to one or more portions thereof radially outwardly. The deformation of the ring coil causes a reduction of the circumscribed circle diameter facilitating its insertion into the member. After the insertion, the deformed portions are respectively outwardly pressed so that the non-deformed portions are respectively engaged with the channel. Subsequently, the deformed coil is sequentially pressed to the bottom surface of the channel are around so that the deformed coil is returned to its original shape and the whole of the coil is perfectly fitted in the channel.

A coil inserting apparatus for inserting coils into slots of a stator core of an electric rotary machine. The apparatus includes a plurality of groups of blades for guiding the coils into the slots, a plurality of blade holders, a coil pusher, a rotary driving means for driving the coil pusher and the plurality of the blade holders and a mechanism for converting a rotary motion into a linear reciprocating motion, so that the coil pusher and the plurality of the blade holders are caused to make linear reciprocating motions in the axial direction of the plurality of the blade holders.

An apparatus reduces the insertion-required force in a coil inserting apparatus. A coil and an insulating material piece are automatically inserted into the groove of a stator core by the operation of a coil pusher. A current flows from a piezo-electric element accommodated within the coil pusher, when insertion resistance applied upon the coil pusher has increased, through the relay solenoid valve to drive a hydraulic cylinder thereby raising the coil wrapping jig. When the insertion pressure has suddenly increased, the current stops to keep fundamentally the coil wrapping jig synchronous to the motion of the coil pusher.

A coil forming machine comprises a coil former assembly for the formation of a coil therearound, a flier for winding a wire around the former assembly to form the coil and a coil receiving jig for the support of the coil which has been transferred from the former assembly. The former assembly is provided with a high frequency energy generator for converting electrical energies into mechanical energies and an amplitude transducer for increasing mechanical vibrations generated by the generator.

An improved winding apparatus for winding wires and the like, which includes a flyer having a passage for passing the wire through it and driven for rotation around a winding form or winding frame for winding the wire onto the winding form, a roller movably mounted on the flyer for movement in approximately radial direction from a rotational axis of the flyer so as to depress the wire disposed approximately along a direction parallel to rotational axis of the flyer, by a centrifugal force during rotation of the flyer, and biasing members for urging the roller towards the rotational axis of the flyer against the centrifugal force, so that the tension for the wire may be increased during high speed rotation of the flyer.
