A nondestructive reading method for an isotopic label, capable of easily and quickly reading information on an isotopic label imparted to an article in advance without destroying the label, and a nondestructive reading-use isotopic label suitably using this method. In addition, information obtained by this nondestructive reading method is used to easily and quickly judge the authenticity of an article.

Nondestructive reading method for isotopic label

In a flow sensor, a heater is provided in the middle of an insulation thin film stretched above a gap on a substrate. Temperature measuring elements, which in some embodiments are thermopiles, are provided on both sides of the same, and an ambient temperature measuring resistive element is provided on the top surface of the silicon substrate. The thermopiles in some embodiments are made of polysilicon and aluminum, and in some embodiments the polysilicon is doped with phosphorus (P). In some embodiments, the amount of phosphorus is determined such that temperature characteristics of the thermopiles and have an absolute value substantially equal to that of temperature characteristics attributable to factors other than the thermopiles and have a (positive or negative) sign opposite to that of the latter. Thus, the temperature characteristics of the thermopiles cancel the temperature characteristics attributable to factors other than the thermopiles.

Flow sensor, method of manufacturing the same and fuel cell system

A miniaturized, inexpensive flowmeter capable of accurately measuring a flow rate comprises a flow rate detector including a plurality of thermal type flow rate detector elements mounted on a support plate, a power source for applying power to the flow rate detector, and a signal processor for calculating the flow rate from supplied power.

Thermal type flowmeter

A plurality of flow velocity sensors are vertically installed in line at different positions in the same cross section in a gas flow passage in a pipe. Detection signals from the flow velocity sensors are inputted to a mean flow velocity computing unit which calculates a mean value of flow velocity measurements. The mean flow rate calculated at the mean flow velocity computing unit is converted into a flow rate by a flow rate computing unit to be displayed by a display. Regardless of flow velocity distribution in the pipe, which may change due to differences in the pipe shape, flow rates are accurately measured. As a result, flow rates are accurately measured over a wide range.

Flowmeter

A pressure switch element (1) including a semiconductor layer (3) having a diaphragm portion (5) in its center and a plate (2) having a through hole communicating with the exterior, which are stacked one on another so as to define a gas space (6) between the diaphragm portion of the semiconductor layer and the plate. The element (1) further includes an insulating layer (4) provided on the lower surface of the diaphragm portion (5), a first switch electrode (9) provided on the lower surface of the insulating layer (4), and a second switch electrode (10) behaving as a fixed electrode provided on the plate (2), such that chattering is prevented with a simple structure without using a complex electronic circuit.

Semiconductor layer pressure switch

A thermal micro flow sensor including a heating wire, said heating wire being made of a material having a resistivity in the range from 3.1.times.10.sup.-7 .OMEGA.m to 2.times.10.sup.-2 .OMEGA.m like polysilicon so that said heating wire has a resistance about 1 k.OMEGA., said heating wire being formed on a semiconductor material so that said heating wire has a thermal isolation structure for isolating said heating wire from said semiconductor substrate.
