A head-mounted display apparatus includes a control unit configured to correct a video, a display element configured to display the video corrected by the control unit, a first optical member on which video light corresponding to the video is incident, and a reflection member configured to reflect the video light from the first optical member to project a virtual image corresponding to the video. The first optical member and the reflection member correct distortion of the virtual image in a first direction. The control unit corrects the video based on distortion of the virtual image in a second direction crossing the first direction.

Head-mounted display apparatus

A virtual image display device includes a display element, a light-guiding system configured to guide imaging light that exits the display element, and a mirror member having a first surface where the imaging light that exits the light-guiding system is incident while being refracted and a second surface that reflects the imaging light that passes through the first surface and causes the imaging light to exit the mirror member through the first surface where the imaging light is refracted. In the mirror member, the curvature of the first surface differs from the curvature of the second surface.

Virtual image display device and optical unit

An optical module includes: an image element; a prism mirror that reflects image light emitted from the image element at an inner reflection portion; a combiner that reflects the image light from the prism mirror toward a pupil position; and a barrel that is disposed between the prism mirror and the combiner and that positions the prism mirror. The barrel includes a first positioning surface brought into contact with the prism mirror in a second direction perpendicular to a first imaginary plane and parallel to a normal line of a second imaginary plane on which the image light emitted from an emission portion of the prism mirror is incident, and a second positioning portions brought into contact with the prism mirror in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and intersecting the second direction.

Optical module and head-mounted display apparatus

An optical unit includes a projection lens, a prism configured to guide the image light from the projection lens, and a mirror member configured to reflect, toward a pupil position, the image light from the prism, wherein the prism includes a first surface where the image light from the projection lens is incident while being transmitted, a second surface at which the image light that passed through the first surface is reflected, and a third surface at which the image light that passed through the second surface is reflected toward the second surface, and the image light reflected at the third surface is emitted while being transmitted through the second surface.

A projection lens that is a first optical member configured to emit image light from an emission portion, the image light being incident on an image element, a prism mirror that is a second optical member configured to cause the image light from the projection lens to be incident from an incident portion, a combiner configured to reflect the image light from the prism mirror toward a pupil position, and a light blocking member supported around at least one of the incident portion of the prism mirror and the emission portion of the projection lens are provided, wherein when viewed from a direction perpendicular to an optical axis of the image light incident on the incident portion of the prism mirror, at least a portion of the incident portion of the prism mirror protrudes from the light blocking member toward the emission portion of the projection lens.

Image display device

A display module includes a display element, a light-guiding optical device, and a control unit configured to perform distortion correction including correction of a chromatic aberration of magnification. The light-guiding optical device is constituted of an optical system having non-axisymmetry in an up-and-down direction with respect to the imaging light entering the light-guiding optical device, and includes a first optical member having positive refractivity, a second optical member having positive refractivity, and a first reflection surface configured to reflect the imaging light toward a pupil position. The refractivity of the first optical member is greater than the refractivity of the second optical member. An abbe number of a constituent material of the first optical member is greater than an abbe number of a constituent material of the second optical member. The control unit performs distortion correction by a different distortion correction amount for each color light.

Display module and display device

A light-guiding device includes a pair of light-guiding portions, a pair of light-incident portions that causes image light to be incident on the pair of light-guiding portions respectively, and a pair of light-emitting portions that emit image light, guided by the pair of light-guiding portions, to outside respectively, in which a pair of optical members including the pair of light-guiding portions are coupled by a central member having light transmissivity, and separate overcoat layers are provided at the optical member on one side and at the optical member on another side with respect to an approximate center of the central member.

A head-mounted display includes an image display device including a panel unit serving as a display element configured to display an image, a colored optical member disposed on a light path of imaging light emitted from the panel unit and having a yellowness of a predetermined value or greater, and a coloring correction optical member configured to correct a degree of coloring of the imaging light of the entire light path in accordance with the yellowness of the colored optical member.

A display element, and a light-guiding member including a plurality of reflection surfaces and configured to guide image light from the display element by reflecting the image light at an inner surface, and cause the image light and external light to be visually recognized in an overlapping manner are provided, wherein at a boundary between a first reflection surface and a second reflection surface adjacent to each other included in the plurality of reflection surfaces of the light-guiding member with at least one of the first reflection surface and the second reflection surface including a curved surface, an end of the first reflection surface and an end of the second reflection surface match when projected from a specific direction.

Virtual image display device and light-guiding member

A light-guiding device is configured to accept image light through a light incidence part, guide the image light through reflection, and emit, to outside through a light emission part, the image light that is guided, the light-guiding device includes a protective member having a sheet shape and configured to cover a body member in a region corresponding to an optical surface of a surface of the light-guiding device, and an adhesive layer is formed between the body member and the protective member.

A virtual image display apparatus includes a display device serving as an image forming unit, an image optical system including a first mirror member serving as an outer mirror member and receiving imaging light from the display device, and a partially reflecting type mirror portion reflecting imaging light emitted from the image optical system toward a position of an exit pupil. The first mirror member serving as the outer mirror member and the partially reflecting type mirror portion are integrated.
