An ophthalmic laser treatment apparatus comprises: an observation optical system; first and second irradiation optical systems to irradiate first and second laser lights for treatment toward a patient's eye; and first and second guide optical systems to irradiate first and second guide lights toward the eye. The second irradiation optical system displaces a condensing position of the second laser light to either one of a position far from of a reference plane on which the observation optical system is focused and a position short of the reference plane, so that a spot size of the second laser light on the reference plane is increased to a larger size than a spot size of the first laser light on the reference plane. The first and second guide optical systems respectively condense the first and second guide lights on the reference plane.

An ophthalmic laser treatment apparatus includes a light interference optical unit, an irradiation unit, a luminance transition information detecting unit, a focused state detecting unit, and a guide unit. The light interference optical unit is configured to acquire a depth profile of a patient's eye tissue. The luminance transition information detecting unit is configured to control a first focus position adjusting unit to shift a focus position of a measurement light to acquire a depth profile in each focus position. The focused state detecting unit is configured to detect a focused state in the patient's eye tissue based on luminance transition information acquired by the luminance transition information detecting unit. A method for obtaining a tomographic image of a fundus by optical coherence tomography includes the steps of setting a line, based on which the fundus tomographic image is to be obtained, on a first front image of the fundus, the first front image being a still image, establishing a positional correspondence between a second front image of the fundus and the first front image by matching the first and second front images, specifying a line on the second front image based on positional information on the line set on the first front image, and the established positional correspondence, and obtaining the fundus tomographic image that corresponds to the lines on the first and second front images by scanning measurement light with the use of an optical scanner provided to an interference optical system.

A stereoscopic retinal camera comprises an illuminating optical system, a photographing optical system, an observation optical system and a focus detection optical system. The focusing optical system consists of an index projecting system combined with one of the two light paths of the observation optical system, and an index detecting system combined with the other light path of the observation optical system. The respective positions of the focusing lenses of the photographing optical system are adjusted so that a sharp image of the focusing index is detected by the index detecting system. Thus, the stereoscopic retinal camera can be easily focused without requiring any particular skill and is capable of enabling the minute observation of the fundus of the eye by means of a direct-vision viewfinder.
