An apparatus for measuring image qualities of a color display unit includes a color video camera for imaging a display screen of a first color display unit, a central processing unit for measuring image qualities of the display screen of the first color display unit based on an image signal generated by the color video camera, a second color display unit for displaying data of the image qualities measured by the computer, and an image signal generator controllable by the central processing unit for generating an image signal required to measure the image qualities and supplying the image signal to the first color display unit. The central processing unit supplies the image signal generated by the color video camera to the second color display unit to display an image of the display screen of the first color display unit in a predetermined display area on a display screen of the second color display unit for relative positional adjustment between the first color display unit and the color video camera.

Apparatus for and method of measuring image qualities of color display

An image inspection system for inspecting a display screen establishes a plurality of measurement spots on a display screen to be inspected, and measures images at the measurement spots and displays measured results on a monitor display screen. The image inspection system establishes display spots corresponding to the measurement spots on the monitor display screen, changes the positions of the display spots in a highlighted manner depending on the differences between measured values of the measurement spots and preset reference values, and displays measured results by inter-connecting the changed positions of the display spots with line segments.

Image inspection system for inspecting quality elements of a display

An apparatus for measuring image qualities of a color display unit has an image quality sensor comprising a color video camera for imaging a display screen of the color display unit and a fixed-focus lens combined as an imaging lens with the color video camera. Image qualities of the color display unit are measured based on an image signal generated by the color video camera, and an image signal required to measure the image qualities is generated and supplied to the color display unit.
