When a normal disk having the diameter of 12 cm is inserted into the disk device, first and second optical detecting elements detect the insertion, and transitions to a first detection state, which initiates transfer operation of first and second transfer rollers. If the disk is further moved to an inner portion of the device, thus pressing first and second detecting pins, first and second detecting switches are turned OFF, and the detecting elements enter a second detection state. Before the transition from the first detection state to the second detection state occurs, a rotating speed of the first and second transfer rollers is set low. After transition to the second detection state, the rotating speed is increased. As a result, a card or other such foreign objects can be removed and a monitoring period can be increased until detection of a normal disk is detected.

Disc device having multiple disk carry-in speeds

In a disk-storing disk device according to the present invention, within a casing having an insertion opening formed on the front face for inserting a disk, a plurality of holders are arranged in piles disproportionately on the Xside about an insertion center line while a drive unit is rotatably supported on the Xside from the insertion center line. When any of the holders is selected and a disk is inserted through the insertion opening, the disk is clamped to transfer rollers. A transporting unit is counterclockwise rotated while the disk is transferred with the transfer rollers. By the rotation, the disk is securely conveyed to the holder arranged disproportionately on the Xside. Thereby, efficiency of arranging respective units in the casing is improved so as to provide a disk-storing disk device with short depth size.

Disk-storing disk device having a drive unit and a transporting-unit supported about fulcrum

A disk changer apparatus includes a rotation base on which a turntable and a head are mounted. The rotation base can rotate about the rear end thereof as a fulcrum. The disk changer apparatus further includes a base supporter opposed to the top end of the rotation base when the rotation base moves to a driving position where the rotation base can drive a disk selected from a plurality of disks, a lock member movably mounted on the rotation base, and a lock control mechanism for causing the lock member to be connected to the base supporter when the rotation base moves to the driving position. The disk changer apparatus having such a structure stably supports both ends of the rotation base when the rotation base rotates to the driving position.

A supporting mechanism for a vehicle mounting apparatus including a housing settable in a first posture and a second posture. In the first posture, a line extending along a predetermined direction is oriented in the direction of gravitational force. In the second posture, a line intersecting the line extending along the predetermined direction is oriented in the direction of gravitational force. The vehicle mounting apparatus further includes an apparatus body accommodated in the interior of the housing. The supporting mechanism includes a plurality of springs which resiliently connect the apparatus body to the housing. When the housing is in the first and second postures, at least two of the plurality of springs support the apparatus body with respect to the direction of gravitational force, and points connecting the two springs and the apparatus body are disposed on opposite sides of a vertical line passing through the center of gravity of the apparatus body. Therefore, the apparatus body, which does not easily tilt in either of the two housing postures, is stably resiliently supported.

An apparatus for detecting an angle of rotation is disclosed which comprises a rotary magnet having four poles, two magnetic sensors of a ferromagnetic material disposed over the periphery of the rotary magnet so as to face the magnetic poles of the rotary magnet and to have a phase difference of 3.pi./8 therebetween, a signal generating portion for applying the magnetic sensors of a ferromagnetic material with a first and a second sine-wave signals having a phase difference of .pi./2 in electrical angle therebetween, a synthesizing portion for synthesizing signals output from both of first magnetic sensor of a ferromagnetic material and second magnetic sensor of a ferromagnetic material thereby to output a synthesized signal with a phase difference corresponding to an angle of rotation .theta. from the first sine-wave signal, and a rotational angle detecting portion for detecting the angle of rotation based on the phase difference.

A motion sensor unit which includes a sensor assembly for monitoring whether or not the inclination of a mobile member is in excess of a predetermined reference angle and outputting a pulse signal in case the inclination is greater than the reference angle; a detector for monitoring whether or not the duration of the pulse signal is in excess of a predetermined reference time and, in the case of any excess, outputtting a signal representing that the inclination of the mobile member is greater than the reference angle and is continuous for more than the reference time; a sensor assembly for outputting a pulse signal inverted in accordance with the value of a shock given to the mobile member; and a detector for monitoring whether or not the cycle of the pulse signal is shorter than a predetermined reference time and outputting a shock detection signal when the cycle is shorter than the reference time. Due to the above constitution, the motion sensor unit is capable of controlling the shock detection sensitivity continuously and independently without altering the detection sensitivity for any jolt or inclination.
