A banding packing machine capable of inexpensively detecting the end of a band reel, thereby contributing to a reduction in cost. In a banding packing machine having a back pool box in a packing machine body and serving to feed an unused band (B) stored in the back pool box and a band from a band reel, the rotating speed of a touch roller is detected when a required amount of band is being pulled out of the band reel wherein the band is not left in the band reel if the rotating speed is not changed but the rotation is carried out at an almost constant speed, and the tip portion of the band does not arrive at the predetermined position of a band guide arch. Then, the driving operation of a normal rotating roller is stopped based on the decision signal.

Banding packing machine

It is an object to provide an automatic banding packing machine capable of easily removing the ring of a band with a simple structure when idle banding is carried out. When the rear end side of a band is to be pulled back by band pull-back means (), an amount of the pull-back is detected by detecting means. It is decided that idle banding of the band is carried out when a result of the detection is greater than a preset length and the band is wound around a slide table. Thereafter, the rotation of a cam shaft () is temporarily stopped based on a signal, whereby the timing of the pressing to be carried out by a middle presser member, which is operated after melting the superposing portion of the band by means of a heater (), is delayed in a predetermined time.

A band refeeding method in a banding packing machine is disclosed which can prevent the tip portion of a band from being excessively pulled back even if the band is not supplied correctly but is automatically pulled back, and can stay the band in a predetermined position and can successively supply the band to the band guide arch side. A length of a band to be pulled back to an original position by band pull back means is previously detected based on the number of rotations of a touch roller constituting band supply means. In addition, the number of rotations of the touch roller before reaching a predetected set value is detected when the tip portion of the band is pulled back. Then, a rotating speed of a roller of the band pull back means is reduced when the number of rotations is detected. Therefore, the roller of the band pull back means is subsequently rotated at the low speed, thereby pulling back the tip of the band to a predetermined position.

Band refeeding method in banding packing machine and banding packing machine having refeeding mechanism

A controller in a banding packing machine which can easily correct a shift from the predetermined timing cycle. The controller includes a cam shaft having a plurality of cams, a timing plate which includes a plurality of holes corresponding to rotation positions of the cam shaft, and a detecting means. An inching mode is also disclosed which provides for the manual adjustment of presser members following a step in the rotation of the cam shaft.

A brake structure of a band reel in a packing machine in which reliable braking effects can be obtained and responsiveness can be enhanced. A brake arm ( ) has a coil spring portion ( ) provided on one of its ends and a band passing ring portion ( ) provided on the other end is mounted on one of ends of the reel shaft ( ). One of ends on the coil spring ( ) side in the brake arm ( ) is fastened to a fixed member such as a device frame. The diameter of the coil spring portion ( ) is reduced to cause the inner peripheral surface of the coil spring portion ( ) to closely engage the outer peripheral surface of the reel shaft ( ), thereby stopping rotation of the reel shaft by frictional force, when the force for feeding the band is released.

A band feed length adjusting device in a packing machine which can newly input, to a control section, a length obtained by manually leading out a band to adjust the feed length of the band and can subsequently feed the band having a correct length in the case in which the size of an object to be packed is changed to be larger.

A touch roller can be moved between three positions. In the first position, the touch roller is pressed onto a forward driving roller. In the second position, the touch roller is pressed onto a reverse driving roller with two different forces. In the third position, the touch roller is spaced from both the forward driving roller and the reverse driving roller. When the touch roller is pushed onto the reverse driving roller with a small force, the reverse driving roller pulls back a band and wraps the band around an article to be packed. When the touch roller is pushed onto the reverse driving roller with a large force, the reverse driving roller tightens the band wrapped around an article.

It is an object to provide a banding packing machine capable of easily processing a right presser member, a left presser member and a middle presser member, reducing the number of parts and readily carrying out attachment with high precision. A drum portion of at least a middle presser member ( ) provided in a central part in a right presser member ( ), a left presser member ( ) and the middle presser member ( ) has a sectional shape of an almost track including a pair of circular arc portions ( ) opposed to each other and a pair of straight portions ( ) opposed to each other, and one of ends of each of drum portions ( ) in the right presser member ( ) and the left presser member ( ) which are opposed to the straight portions ( ) of the middle presser member ( ) is formed rectilinearly.

Front end portions of respective bands drawn out of two band reels are guided in substantially parallel relationship by means of band guide 11. When the band reel in use becomes empty, band feeding unit 30 is driven in reverse to thereby discharge a rear end portion of the band and, further, a front end portion of other band in stand-by condition is moved to a position of use by means of band changeover unit 20. An automatic band charging device can be provided which enables rapidly replacing an empty band reel with a spare band reel and which has a simple structure and realizes a reduced number of constituent parts, thereby contributing to the miniaturization of the packing machine.

Automatic band charging device for strapping packing machine

A band charging apparatus for a packing machine capable of carrying out charging of a band while effectively preventing jamming of the band. In the packing machine, a band unwound from a reel is fed to a pool box by means of the band charging apparatus, to thereby be temporarily stored in the pool box. Then, the band is fed to a circumference of a package by means of a band feeding and tightening apparatus. Thereafter, the band is drawn back by means of the band feeding and tightening apparatus while a distal end of the band is kept gripped, resulting in being tightly wound on the package. The band charging apparatus includes a pool feed roller for carrying out feeding of the band to the pool box and a pool touch roller arranged so as to access to the pool feed roller through the band. Also, the band charging apparatus includes guide plates for defining a band guide path in the pool box when the band is set for charging of the band in the band feeding and tightening apparatus. The guide plates are pivotally moved in a direction of guiding the band, to thereby close the guide plates. When the band is excessively fed to the band guide path, nerve of the band in the band guide path causes the guide plates to be open, to thereby release the band guide path, resulting in the band being stored in the pool box.

Band charging apparatus for packing machine

A packing apparatus capable of permitting drawing-out of a band from a band guide arch structure to be regularly accomplished in order, to thereby improve durability of the apparatus and prevent damage to the band. Flaps each are formed of a lightweight metal material into an L-shape in section, and are provided at one edge thereof with a flange and formed at a portion thereof in proximity to the other edge thereof with a pair of threaded holes. The flaps are arranged in a manner to be contiguous to each other in order in such a manner that a forward end of each of the flaps defined in a direction of delivery of the band is positioned under a rearward end of the flap forwardly adjacent thereto while aligning threaded holes of the adjacent flaps with each other. Also, the flaps which are arranged at each of corner sections of a band way are curvedly connected to each other while forming an overlapped portion of an acute fan shape between each adjacent two flaps. Springs of a coiled shape each are securely inserted at one end thereof into each of the threaded holes of each of the overlapped portions of the flaps and fixed at the other end thereof in a band guide arch structure, to thereby permit each of the flaps to be openable with respect to the band way.
