Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for seamless personal hotspot connectivity via personal hotspot tokens. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a personal hotspot-enabled device can include a processor and a memory. The memory can store instructions of an operating system and a personal hotspot application. The personal hotspot-enabled device can receive a personal hotspot token. The personal hotspot application can recognize, via a short-range communication component, a device identification associated with a peripheral device operating in proximity to the personal hotspot-enabled device. The personal hotspot application can request the personal hotspot token from the operating system. The personal hotspot application can inform the operating system of the device identification. The personal hotspot application can then receive the personal hotspot token associated with the device identification. The operating system can create a personal hotspot. The operating system can automatically authenticate the peripheral device to connect to the personal hotspot.

Seamless personal hotspot connectivity via personal hotspot tokens

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device, including: a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations of authenticating a mobile device; receiving a query from the mobile device for a bearer selection from a plurality of bearers; receiving network parameters associated with each bearer in the plurality of bearers; identifying a selected bearer in the plurality of bearers that should be used by the mobile device; and sending an instruction to the mobile device to use the selected bearer. System and method for intelligent network selection

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving at an entitlement server an authentication request from a mobile device operating on a mobility network including a base station, identifying authorized network resources for the mobile device, and communicating to the mobile device a resource authorization message which causes the mobile device to update a device capabilities profile of the mobile device according to the authorized network resources for the mobile device, the resource authorization message further causing the mobile device to communicate an updated device capabilities profile to the base station for subsequent radio communication between the mobile device and the base station. Method for device band selection

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting at a mobile device a communication failure of a data connection between the mobile device and a source core network of a plurality of core networks available to the mobile device, the mobile device communicating with a respective core network of the plurality of core networks through a radio access network, selecting a destination core network of the plurality of core networks, and handing off the data connection from the source core network to the destination core network. Intelligent packet core selection

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, attaching a mobile device to an initial bearer at a base station of a mobility network, monitoring a performance parameter for communication by the mobile device on the initial bearer, requesting, by the mobile device, information about other bearers at the base station of the mobility network, wherein the requesting is responsive to the performance parameter failing to exceed a predetermined performance threshold, receiving at the mobile device, network information about other bearers at the base station of the mobility network, the network information including current capacity information for the other bearers, selecting, by the mobile device, a selected alternative bearer based on the information about other bearers, and communicating, to the mobility network, a user equipment (UE) capabilities message identifying the selected alternative bearer and omitting the initial bearer to change bearers to obtain better communication performance at the mobile device. Deviced based network steering

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining an indication that a communication device can access a communication service via a first radio access technology, configuring, responsive to the obtaining of the indication, the communication service in accordance with the first radio access technology, resulting in a configured communication service, receiving a request for the communication service from the communication device, and providing the configured communication service to the communication device responsive to the receiving of the request.
