A patient monitoring system includes sensors, a patient support assembly, and a gateway device and/or control module. Example sensors include physiological sensors and patient status devices. The sensors acquire patient-related data. Patient related action is determined based on the patient-related data.

Modular monitoring smart bed

Buckles for releasably connecting a first object and a second object. Example buckles may include a base including a first upstanding wall including a first boss extending therefrom and a second upstanding wall including a second boss extending therefrom. A housing may be mounted to a connector. The housing may include a hook section shaped to engage the first boss and the second boss and including a mouth for receiving the first boss and the second boss therethrough. A trigger may be configured to selectively obstruct the mouth. The trigger may include a first leg, a second leg, and one or more actuators operative to move the first leg and the second leg generally towards each other such that the first leg and the second leg may pass between the first boss and the second boss as the first boss and the second boss pass through the mouth.

Infant carrier buckle

A variable width gate for adaptively mating with boundaries of an opening to provide a barrier therebetween, the variable width gate comprising: (a) an extendable gate including a first gate section mounted to a second gate section, wherein either the first gate section or the second gate section includes a rib; (b) a tracker adapted to engage the rib and operatively coupled to the other of the first gate section or the second gate section not having the rib; and (c) a handle operatively coupled to one of the tracker and the rib, such that displacement of the handle manipulates the position of the tracker in relation to the rib to horizontally reposition the first gate section with respect to the second gate section.

A portable auxiliary speaker for a playpen or a crib comprising a housing incorporating a loudspeaker, the housing being adapted to receive at least a portion of a framework of a crib or a playpen to mount the housing to the crib or the playpen, wherein the housing includes an input adapted to be operatively coupled to at least one of a radio, a CD player, an MP3 player, a cassette player, a computer, and a DVD player.
