Locations of seeds in a field can be identified using event-based processing or frequency-based processing. A material is applied to the field, based upon the seed locations.

Systems and methods for selective fertilizer placement

An agricultural machine includes a motor configured to drive a seeding system that is, itself, configured to meter and deliver seed from the agricultural machine. The agricultural machine also includes a sensor configured to sense a characteristic of the seeding system and a skip detector component, that receives the sensor signal and detects a seed skip in the seeding system. Based on the detected seed skip, a processing system generates an operating parameter of the motor, and controls the motor based on the operating parameter.

A reel finger for use on a harvesting header for an agricultural machine includes an elongate member having a proximal end and a distal end. The elongate member has a retaining member located at the proximal end. A plate member is connected to the elongate member with the distal end of the elongate member extending beyond the plate member. The plate member has a continuous smooth front surface for engaging a crop in a direction of crop engagement that covers a portion of the elongate member not extending beyond the plate member. The plate member has a back surface opposite to the front surface.

An upper support mechanism for an unloader auger tube of a combine having a ball mechanism fixed atop the unloader auger tube and a bushing having a generally spherical opening for swivellably receiving the ball member. The bushing is slidable up and down within a cylindrical opening formed in a sleeve member fixed with the combine frame. The bushing is made of a material that generally does not require lubrication as it rubs against the ball member or the sleeve member.

Unloader tube upper pivot support mechanism

A grain tank extension having side panels that are rotatably mounted to the grain tank to lower the extension by pivoting the side panels into the tank for storage. Corner panels are provided between adjacent side panels and are integrally formed with the stud at each end for coupling the corner panels to the side panels. Flanges extend beyond the ends of the side panels and overlap abutting ends of adjacent comer panels. The flanges each have an aperture that receives the stud from the adjacent corner panel. The stud is held therein by a retaining pin to avoid the need for hand tools to lower the extension for storage. The corner panels are molded of plastic as a single piece plastic body with the studs integrally formed therein.
