A hydraulic tank protection system is disclosed. The hydraulic tank protection system may include a sensor to detect a characteristic of a fluid, a fluid control device to control a flow of the fluid into or out of a reservoir of a hydraulic tank, and an electronic control module to: receive, from the sensor, information indicating the characteristic of the fluid, determine, based on the characteristic of the fluid, whether the fluid comprises a first type of fluid, and selectively provide a control signal to actuate the fluid control device to control the flow of the fluid into or out of the reservoir based on whether the fluid comprises the first type of fluid.

Hydraulic tank protection system

A hydraulic system may selectively operate in a charging mode or a driving mode, and may include a charging component, an accumulator, an input pump/motor, and an output motor. The charging component may charge an accumulator during operation in the charging mode. The accumulator may store pressure medium during operation in the charging mode, and may supply stored pressure medium to the input pump/motor during operation in the driving mode. The input pump/motor may supply pressure medium to at least the accumulator during operation in the charging mode, and may supply pressure medium to the output motor during at least operation in the driving mode. The output motor may provide output torque based on pressure medium supplied by the input pump/motor.

Start assist for a vibratory system of a compactor

An extendable section, for attachment to a fixed screed, may include a rotatable shaft, and a power receiving component attached to the rotatable shaft. The power receiving component may receive power generated during rotation of a drive shaft, and generate torque and speed for rotating the rotatable shaft. Increasing the driving rotational speed of the drive shaft may increase a driven rotational speed of the rotatable shaft, and decreasing the driving rotational speed of the drive shaft may decrease the driven rotational speed of the rotatable shaft.

Fixed screed power take-off for improved performance

A system and method for controlling operation of an endgate of a screed paving machine using a control device is disclosed. The at least one control device may have a plurality of endgate controls and may be employed for issuing commands to a controller by an operator for controlling operation of the at least one endgate and operate the at least one endgate in an up mode and a down mode, changing the fore/aft pitch of the at least one endgate in tilt-up and tilt-down modes and operating the at least one endgate in auto-on and auto-off modes.

System and method for screed endgate control

A control system for an extendable screed includes a first input device configured to set a speed limit for the extendable screed, a second input device configured to vary a speed of the extendable screed within the speed limit. The controller further includes, a third input device configured to govern a relationship between a speed of the extendable screed and a relative position of the second input device. The control system further includes a controller configured to receive inputs from the first, the second, and the third input devices and output a command signal to move the extendable screed relative to the main screed.
