A venous valve prosthesis includes a frame and a prosthetic valve coupled to the frame. With the venous valve prosthesis implanted in a vein, the prosthetic valve includes a closed configuration wherein an outer surface of the prosthetic valve is in contact with a wall of the vein around a circumference of the prosthetic valve to prevent blood from flowing past the prosthetic valve between the wall of the vein and the outer surface of the prosthetic valve. The prosthetic valve is configured to move to an open configuration such that at least a portion of an outer wall of the prosthetic valve partially collapses away from the wall of the vein in response to antegrade blood flow through the vein to enable blood flow between the outer surface of the prosthetic valve and the wall of the vein.

Venous valve prostheses

A stent graft includes a main body extending along a longitudinal axis when in a preinstalled configuration prior to insertion into a body of a patient. The stent graft also includes a mobile external coupling extending away from the main body and configured to align with a secondary blood vessel within the body to provide access thereto. The main body includes a plurality of stents extending thereabout. The stents include a first bracketing stent extending about a proximal side of the mobile external coupling, and a second bracketing stent located adjacent the first bracketing stent and extending about a distal side of the mobile external coupling. The first bracketing stent includes peaks that are aligned along a first axis, and the second bracketing stent includes peaks that are aligned along a second axis that diverges from the first axis relative to a circumferential direction toward the mobile external coupling.

Branched stent graft

A delivery system for delivering a prosthesis includes a catheter and a selectable tip kit having a plurality of tips. Each tip is uniquely shaped, i.e., has a particular shape different than the shape of all the other tips, and each tip is better suited for some procedures than for others. One of the tips is selected by the physician as being particularly well suited for the procedure to be performed. The selected tip is non-removably attached to the catheter and the remaining tips are discarded. This allows the delivery system to be customizable to each procedure, putting the physician in control of the case. This provides a case specific delivery system for the physicians to use and at a very low expense and with minimal additional engineering.
