In some embodiments, an adapter comprises an adapter body comprising a coupling member configured for coupling with a pre-fillable assembly and a spike having at least one conduit extending from a central body. At least one conduit extends through the spike, adapter body and the coupling member. A spike cover is sized to receive and seal the spike, the cover reversibly securable to the central body and receiving members configured to receive a vial shroud.

A fluid connector comprising a housing having an access site, and a cover member passively positioned in an initial covering relationship with the access site, the cover member being reversible from an uncovered relationship under load to the initial covering relationship, is described. A method of preventing contamination and aseptically covering an access site of a fluid connector with a cover member is also described.

A multi-container transfer and deliver device and methods of mixing and transferring, the device configured to allow multiple containers to transfer and mix their respective materials and for receiving of the mixed materials to a fluid delivery device. The transfer device comprises a plurality of flow conduits for fluid flow between the multiple containers and the fluid delivery device. A drug mixing kit and optional packaging comprising a multi-container housing with a plurality of flow conduits and a plurality of sections for receiving containers and a fluid transfer device is described.

An applicator device for applying a fluid is provided. The applicator device may include a handle. The handle may comprise an elongate hollow body having a proximal end and a distal end and at least one longitudinal, interior rib disposed on an inner surface of an outer wall of the hollow body and configured to orient and guide a container for containing the fluid when the container is disposed within the hollow body. In addition, the applicator device may include a base at the distal end of the hollow body. Further, the applicator device may include an applicator pad coupled to the base.

Fluid application device and method

A compact ultrasound needle guidance system and method of use is described. The needle guidance system has components to adjustably target a needle's destination in the plane of a two-dimensional ultrasound image before insertion of a needle into a patient. Needle movement is tracked using a position detector that provides a visual display of the needle path on the ultrasonic image.

A syringe needle safety apparatus comprising a syringe barrel having an open end and an opposite end adapted for a needle and a needle safety cover displaceable between a un-deployed state wherein the cover is constrained and the needle exposed, and a deployed state wherein the cover covers at least the needle tip. A plunger is slidably engaged in the syringe barrel and at least one element secures the needle safety cover in the un-deployed state. Biasing means urge the needle safety cover from the un-deployed state to the deployed state, and a housing is coupled to the opposite end of the syringe barrel, the housing comprising a corresponding securing member and a deformable member, the deformable member releasing the at least one element from the corresponding securing member upon receiving a releasing force via the plunger. During deployment, the needle safety mechanism provides for the needle safety cover to avoid contact with the needle, reducing or eliminating blood contact.

A device for mixing and transferring is described. The device comprises a housing having open ends, a container accessing member having at least one fluid conduit therethrough, the container accessing member extending generally outwardly from one end of the housing. The device comprises a fluid delivery device accessing member having at least one fluid conduit therethrough, the fluid delivery device accessing member extending generally outwardly from the other end of the housing having the container accessing member, the fluid delivery device accessing member and the container accessing member in fluid communication therewith.

A bedpan for collecting waste includes a seating area and a plurality of cavities. The seating area is located in a main body of the bedpan. The plurality of cavities is formed within the seating area and includes a first cavity for collecting liquid waste and a second cavity for collecting solid waste. The first cavity and the second cavity are separated by a divider.

A shoe releasing assembly for use with an orthotic bar or splint is disclosed. The shoe releasing assembly comprises a bar attachment member securable to a bar or splint, a shoe attachment member securable to the sole of a shoe, and latching means to secure the bar and shoe members. The bar attachment member comprises a base, a wall section at least partially surrounding the base. The shoe attachment member comprises a shoe attachment base, a shoe attachment wall section at least partially surrounding the shoe attachment base. When one of the attachment members comprises a wall section defining a recess, the corresponding member comprises a wall section having a shape conforming to the recess for vertically inclined insertion. Latching means are provided for receiving, securing, and disengaging the shoe attachment member to the bar attachment member. Methods of treating foot disorders using the assembly are also disclosed.

The present application relates to a urinary catheter movement system for use with a urinary catheter located within an interior volume of a urinary catheter pouch. The system can include a catheter movement controller configured to selectively control longitudinal movement of the catheter relative to a port in the pouch. The system further can include a gripper assembly configured for gripping the catheter located within the interior volume of the urinary catheter pouch.

The present invention relates to a urinary catheter gripping device for use with a urinary catheter located within a urinary catheter pouch. In one aspect, the urinary catheter pouch has a port defined in its exterior surface, whereby the port is in communication with the interior cavity of the urinary catheter pouch. In this aspect, the urinary catheter is substantially disposed therein the pouch and is configured to selectively pass therethrough the port. The gripping device can be positioned on the pouch at any convenient location that aids in the holding of the catheter.

A valved fluid connector reversibly attachable to a standard female connector and providing a flow channel between them comprising a tubular member, an elastic member surrounding at least a portion of the proximal end of the tubular member, the elastic member reversibly sealing the tubular member. When the valved fluid connector is engaged with a standard female connector device, the female connector urges the elastic member of the valved male connector into a stretched position to open the valve and permit fluid communication between the devices.

The present invention relates to a device for controlling movement of a catheter that is at least partially disposed therein a urinary catheter pouch. The invention particularly relates to a catheter movement control device for use with a urinary catheter pouch which aids in preventing the catheter from moving back into the pouch once the catheter has been deployed. The device makes it easier to use a urinary catheter contained in a urinary catheter pouch. This is especially true for those with disabilities that would have difficulty gripping the catheter within the pouch.
