A dielectric fluid is provided comprising a natural bio-sourced oil and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of phosphite compounds. It has been discovered that addition of one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of phosphite compounds to dielectric fluids comprising oil impart a stabilizing effect that reduces, inhibits or prevents formation of stray gases in the dielectric fluid during ordinary use.

A dielectric fluid is provided comprising an oil and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of phosphite compounds. Synthetic ester and mineral oil dielectric fluids with increased stability

Various embodiments provide a method of frying. A method includes heating frying oil to a frying temperature and maintaining the frying oil at the frying temperature for a frying period. During the method no part of the oil exceeds 220° C. A system for using the method of frying includes a pot for holding a frying oil, a heating element for heating the frying oil, and a jacket surrounding the heating element. The jacket prevents direct contact between the frying oil and the heating element. The jacket is configured to uniformly distribute heat produced by the heating element within the pot such that the frying oil has less than 10 area % polymers at the end of heating and maintaining the frying oil at a frying temperature for a frying period.

Frying oil maintenance

Disclosed herein are rejuvenating compositions for asphalt applications. In one aspect, the rejuvenating composition comprises a polymerized oil having a polymeric distribution ranging from about 2 to about 80 wt % oligomer content and Hildebrand solubility ranging from about 6 to about 12. In another aspect, the rejuvenating composition comprises an oil having a Hildebrand solubility ranging from about 6 to about 12 and a flash point ranging from about 100° C. to about 400° C. In yet another aspect, the rejuvenating composition comprises a modified oil having a Hildebrand solubility ranging from about 6 to about 12 and a flash point ranging from about 100° C. to about 400° C.

Rejuvenating compositions for asphalt applications and methods of manufacturing the same

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, comprising obtaining a lecithin-containing material, in some aspects derived from a crude refining stream, comprising 20-80 wt % acetone insoluble matter, 1-30 wt % free fatty acid, and less than 10 wt % water, adding a fatty acid or carboxylic source to the lecithin-containing material to obtain a lecithin fatty acid blend or lecithin carboxylic acid blend and incorporating the blend into asphalt or oil field applications.

Described herein is a rejuvenated asphalt and a method of rejuvenating asphalt comprising mixing a rejuvenator, bitumen, and aggregate to obtain an asphalt mixture, wherein the rejuvenator is present in an amount ranging from about 0.1-40 wt % by weight of the bitumen, and wherein at least 35 wt % of the bitumen is derived from recycled asphalt content. The rejuvenated asphalt provides desirable performance.

Rejuvenating compounds in high performance asphalt compositions with high recycled content

The disclosure relates to flexible wax compositions and a method of making the same. Described herein is a wax composition containing about 20 wt % to about 45 wt % monoacylglycerides, about 28 wt % to about 40 wt % diacylglycerides, and about 10 wt % to about 45 wt % acylglyceride polymers, which contain one or more dimerized fatty acid residue and a plurality of glycerol moieties. The flexible wax composition described herein has an average creep stiffness of less than about 30 MPa and can be used in candles, paper coatings, box coatings, fruit coatings, broadsizing for OSB, tire and rubber, polyvinyl chloride piping, crayons, and personal care applications.
