A sample assembly includes a vial, a vial insert, and a sealing arrangement. The vial insert could be any combination of a sample chamber, a matrix, or a swab breaker configured to be positioned within the vial. The sealing arrangement includes a coupling portion and a cap assembly. The coupling portion defines a mounting channel sized to receive a portion of the vial. The coupling portion is configured to slidably couple to the vial. The cap assembly includes a desiccant cap. The desiccant cap is configured to couple to the vial to selectively form a sterile barrier between the sealing arrangement and the vial.

A rotational atherectomy device that includes an expandable head that can clean a blockage from vessel larger than its rest diameter, in which the drive shaft may rotate in two opposite directions and may have different abrasive characteristics for each rotation direction. In one direction, the head may be configured for cutting and/or slicing, which may be well suited to removing particularly soft blockage material. In the other direction, the head may be configured for grinding, scraping and/or sanding, which may be well suited to removing particularly hard blockage material. The head includes one or more arms that are pivotally or hingedly attached to the drive shaft. One or more abrasive elements are disposed on or are attached to the one or more arms. The abrasive elements have a cutting feature, such as a sharpened edge that cuts like a razor blade when the drive shaft is rotated in the 'cutting' direction. The abrasive elements also have a grinding feature, such as an abrasive material disposed on the abrasive element adjacent to the sharpened edge, which grinds away a blockage when the drive shaft is rotated in the 'grinding' direction.

Bidirectional expandable head for rotational atherectomy device

A cleaning device for cleaning a conveyor system including a slotted track that defines an elongate path along which product is moved and that has opposed glide surfaces from which product is suspended. The conveyor system also includes a wall that is disposed above the track and that cooperates with the track to define a product passageway along the elongate path. The cleaning device includes a drive unit, a wheel rotatably coupled to the drive unit and engageable with the wall within the product passageway to move the drive unit along the slotted track, a glide coupled to the drive unit and engageable with the glide surfaces to support the drive unit on the slotted track, and a cleaning implement coupled to the drive unit to clean the track.

Cleaning device

A fused filament fabrication printer has a fixed extrusion module having multiple printheads having print tips. The fixed arrangement of the printing heads allows the close spacing of multiple print tips in a printhead unit, and the simple routing of multiple plastic or metal filaments to the individual printing heads. The closely spaced print tips in the printhead unit share common components. An exemplary printhead unit has four printing heads which share a common heating block and heating block temperature sensor. The heating block incorporates a group of four print tips evenly spaced along a line. Each printing head has a separate filament which is controlled and driven by its own stepper motor through the heating block to one of the print tips. Printing of a part is by control of individual stepper motors which drive filaments through the heating block and through one of the printing tips.

A peristaltic pump assembly and system that facilitates reliable and efficient engagement and removal of a flexible tube. A stator is pivotally retained on a structure and cooperatively operated by a lever arm and cam to engage and disengage the stator from the tube and a corresponding rotor. The stator pivots at a point distal from a point of rotation of the rotor and the lever arm moves about a fixed rotation axis to engage and disengage the stator with the tube relative to the rotor.

Peristaltic pump

A first portable medical device is adapted for use in an interlocking system for interlocking the first medical device to a second medical device. The first device includes a housing having opposite sides, a selective element, a blocking element, and a clamp mechanism. At least one of the opposite sides includes a matable element to detachably attach a second medical device. The selective element restricts the attachment of the second device to only one side of the first device. The blocking element prevents a third medical device from attaching to the first and second devices once the first and second devices are attached. The clamp restricts the attachment of the second device to only one side of the first device when the clamp is attached to a support member. The clamp permits slide ratcheting axial movement of a clamp shaft.

Medical device system

A medical pump includes a chassis having a fixed seat, and a main carriage having a carriage footing for receiving a fluid delivery device and restricting its movement. An actuator automatically moves the main carriage between open and closed positions to engage the fluid delivery device to the seat. The seat establishes the position of both the main carriage and fluid delivery device in the closed position. The actuator is connected to the main carriage by a rear carriage assembly having a manual release element for disengaging the actuator from rear carriage assembly and thereby from the main carriage. A processing unit detects jam conditions by processing carriage position data and electrical load data from the actuator.
