The present invention comprises a shell, a fixing arrangement, a belt pulley, a main belt, and a breaking arrangement. The shell comprises a compartment defined therein and a belt outlet thereon. The compartment has an opening facing upward. The fixing arrangement detachably buckles the shell on safety harness. The belt pulley is pivotally arranged in the compartment by an axis and defines a winding room. The main belt is coiled in the winding room and has a first end affixed in the winding room, a second end pulled out from the shell through the belt outlet, and a supporting portion provided between the first end and the second end. The breaking arrangement comprises a plurality of blocks spacingly arranged on the shell, a first guiding groove radially arranged on the belt pulley, and a slider slidingly arranged in the first guiding groove to shift between a first position and a second position, such that when the slider shifts to the second position, the pulling position of the supporting portion is adjustable and when the slider shifts to the first position, the supporting portion is positioned for the user to step when hanging in the air.

Adjustable falling foot support device

A multiple-pass laser amplifier that uses optical focusing between subsequent passes through a single gain medium so that a reproducibly stable beam size is achieved within the gain region. A resonator or a White Cell cavity is provided, including two or more mirrors (planar or curvilinearly shaped) facing each other along a resonator axis and an optical gain medium positioned on a resonator axis between the mirrors or adjacent to one of the mirrors. In a first embodiment, two curvilinear mirrors, which may include adjacent lenses, are configured so that a light beam passing through the gain medium and incident on the first mirror is reflected by that mirror toward the second mirror in a direction approximately parallel to the resonator axis. A light beam translator, such as an optical flat of transparent material, is positioned to translate this light beam by a controllable amount toward or away from the resonator axis for each pass of the light beam through the translator. A second embodiment uses two curvilinear mirrors and one planar mirror, with a gain medium positioned in the optical path between each curvilinear mirror and the planar mirror. A third embodiment uses two curvilinear mirrors and two planar mirrors, with a gain medium positioned adjacent to a planar mirror. A fourth embodiment uses a curvilinear mirror and three planar mirrors, with a gain medium positioned adjacent to a planar mirror. A fourth embodiment uses four planar mirrors and a focusing lens system, with a gain medium positioned between the four mirrors. A fifth embodiment uses first and second planar mirrors, a focusing lens system and a third mirror that may be planar or curvilinear, with a gain medium positioned adjacent to the third mirror. A sixth embodiment uses two planar mirrors and a curvilinear mirror and a fourth mirror that may be planar or curvilinear, with a gain medium positioned adjacent to the fourth mirror. In a seventh embodiment, first and second mirrors face a third mirror, all curvilinear, in a White Cell configuration, and a gain medium is positioned adjacent to one of the mirrors.

Multi-pass light amplifier

Compact solid state laser apparatus that includes a laser diode pump, beam forming optics, a laser gain medium and optical resonator, a photodetector to vary the power supplied to the laser diode pump to suppress relaxation oscillations that might otherwise appear in the laser gain medium output light beam, an optical isolator and laser output optics. Each of the optical components has an independently activatable heater to allow optical alignment of that component. Each of the laser diode pump and laser gain medium has an independently activatable thermoelectric cooler to allow optical alignment (laser gain medium only) and to provide thermal tuning of the output wavelength of that device. An optical platform, which is thermally conductive, electrically non-conductive and has low thermal expansion, supports the other components, provides a substrate for electrical traces that provide power for operation of the apparatus and contains the heaters for the optical components.
