An environmental condition detecting system may include an image processor cooperating with a database for generating a reference geospatial image corresponding to the collected geospatial image, a change detector cooperating with the image processor for detecting a change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image, and an environmental condition detector. The environmental condition detector may cooperate with the change detector for detecting the at least one environmental condition associated with the collected geospatial image based upon the change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image. The at least one environmental condition may include at least one weather condition, such as, for example, at least one of image obscuration and surface reflectivity. The at least one environmental condition may additionally or alternatively include at least one of a time of day and a time of year.

Environmental condition detecting system using geospatial images and associated methods

A system of processing map images includes a Web Mapping Service (WMS) for storing map images. A WMS proxy is operative with the WMS and receives from a client a request for a map image for display at the client. A WMS proxy includes a tile broker module that converts the request for the map image into a series of requests for obtaining map tiles. A cache system that stores the map tiles. The tile broker module is operative for returning cached map tiles if they already exist within the cache and retrieving map tiles from the WMS if map tiles are not returned from the cache. A tile building module is operative for building a map image at the WMS proxy from the map tiles in a requested format and resolution and displaying the map image at the client without resampling at the client.

System and method for processing map images

An accuracy enhancing system may include an image processor cooperating with a database for generating a reference geospatial image corresponding to the collected geospatial image, a change detector cooperating with the image processor for detecting a change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image, and an accuracy enhancer. The accuracy enhancer may cooperate with the change detector for generating at least one enhanced accuracy value corresponding to the at least one geospatial collection value based upon the change detected between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image. The airborne platform may traverse an actual flight path based upon a planned flight path, and the image processor may generate the reference geospatial image based upon a desired match with the collected geospatial image. The at least one geospatial collection value may be a geospatial collection sensor position, a geospatial collection sensor orientation or a geospatial collection sensor field-of-view.

Accuracy enhancing system for geospatial collection value of an image sensor aboard an airborne platform and associated methods

An image change detecting system may include an image processor cooperating with the database for generating a reference geospatial image corresponding to the collected geospatial image, an image enhancer for enhancing at least one of the reference geospatial image and the collected geospatial image based upon at least one environmental condition, and a change detector cooperating with the image processor and the image enhancer. The change detector may detect a change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image with at least one thereof enhanced by the image enhancer based upon the at least one environmental condition. The environmental condition may include a weather condition, a time of day, or a time of year. The environmental condition may be typically associated with the collected geospatial image.

Geospatial image change detecting system with environmental enhancement and associated methods

An image change detecting system may include an image processor cooperating with a geospatial scene model database for generating a reference geospatial image corresponding to the collected geospatial image, and a change detector cooperating with the image processor for detecting a change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image. The geospatial scene model database may include 3D scene model data, and the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image may each include respective 2D image data. The collected geospatial image may have at least one geospatial collection value associated therewith, and the image processor may generate the reference geospatial image based upon synthetically positioning a virtual geospatial image sensor within a geospatial scene model based upon the at least one geospatial collection value. The at least one geospatial collection value may include at least one of a geospatial collection position, a geospatial collection orientation, and a geospatial collection field-of-view.

Geospatial image change detecting system and associated methods

A method () comprises steps of: receiving a first digital model () of a first three-dimensional scene comprising at least one object; receiving a second digital model () of a second three-dimensional scene comprising at least one object; and performing a change analysis () on the first and second digital models to provide a difference indication representing a difference between the first and second models. In one embodiment a mean square error operation () is performed on the first and second digital models to provide a value indicating the difference between the digital models. In another embodiment, a conflation operation is performed on the difference model provided by the change analysis () and an object level change database () is produced.

System and method for three dimensional change detection and measurement of a scene using change analysis

A system and method of the present invention identifies tie point collections used in imagery. At least one image collection device acquires images of a selected geographic or other region. A processor is operatively connected to the at least one image collection device and combines the acquired images into respective stereo images such that only the stereo overlap remains. The stereo images can be overlay combined and color coded at the overlapped image areas based on the number of overlapping stereo images to produce a colored overlay image to assist in triangulation and optimal texture selection.
