The present disclosure describes a light fixture for general lighting. The light fixture is includes a light source assembly that uses a point source of light such as an LED, an aspheric reflector, and a lightguide made of transparent materials, that redirects and distributes the light from the point source to an area light. The novel light fixture is not only functional and provides low-glare illumination, it also has an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

A luminaire includes a light source (), and a first free-form reflector () registered with the light source () and receiving non-collimated light () from the light source (). A secondary reflector () is configured to receive the non-collimated light reflected from the first free-form reflector (). A second free-form reflector () is configured to receive the non-collimated light reflected from the secondary reflector (). A virtual source reflector () is registered with the second free-form reflector () and configured to receive the non-collimated light reflected from the second free-form reflector ().

Light fixtures, lighting methods, and devices for mounting ornaments are provided. The light fixtures and methods overcome the limitations of the prior art by permitting electrical power transmission to the light sources, such as, LEDs, through the light fixture suspension elements. The light fixtures include a first ring suspended by a plurality of first cords; and a second ring suspended by a plurality of second cords from the first ring; wherein at least one of the first ring and the second ring comprises a plurality of light sources; and wherein at least one of the plurality of first cords and at least one of the plurality of the second cords are adapted to transmit electrical power to the plurality of light sources. Methods of mounting light sources and ornament mounting arrangements are also disclosed.
