A seat system with a seat back element including a vertical support disposed in a seat back interior region, and one or more first connector portions attached to the vertical support and aligned in a first direction, and a seat back panel having one or more second connector portions attached to an interior surface and configured to connect to the one or more first connector portions. The seat back panel has a first sidewall disposed at a first side and further has a second sidewall disposed on at a second side opposite the first side. The seat back panel has an upper wall portion forming a contiguous first surface with the first sidewall and second sidewall. The second connector portions connect to the first connector portions and attach the seat back panel to the seat back element.

A vibration-reducing insert is usable to reduce vibration or play between two metal aircraft components. The insert rotates on a fastener, and includes a shelf that projects into the gap and operates as an indexable cam to establish an appropriate compression in an engaged portion of the shelf.

A system and method for simulating a structure is disclosed. An adjustable interior mockup for simulating a structure has a base with a first elongated side and a second elongated side, the first elongated side being nonadjacent the second elongated side; and an adjustable frame secured to the base. The adjustable frame includes a plurality of girder members secured along the first and second elongated sides to form an arc; a plurality of brackets; a plurality of arms having a latch attached to one end; and a sheet of fabric. The girders are securely fastened along the first elongated side of the base at predetermined intervals; the brackets are secured to the girders; the arms are received by the brackets and adjustably anchored to the girders via a fastener; and the latches engage the sheet of fabric, thus pulling the fabric into a shape that resembles the structure.

An adaptable skylight includes a frame facing an interior of an enclosure having an opening for allowing light to pass. An opacity-control pane adjacent the opening allows a variable amount of light to pass, and an artificial light source illuminates the frame. An aircraft skylight assembly includes a variable pane, an artificial light source for illuminating portions of the skylight assembly, and a controller configured for adjusting an amount of external light transmission through the variable pane and an amount of artificial light illumination. An internal ambiance lighting system includes the adaptable skylight having a dimmable pane for providing transmission of a variable amount of external light into an enclosure, the artificial light illuminates the frame surrounding the adaptable skylight, and the controller automatically adjusts external light transmission through the adaptable skylight and illumination of the frame based on a lighting preference.

A console for aircraft that is located between two seats which face each other. The console includes an open ledge with a cup holder arrangement. The cup holder arrangement includes two removable holder dividers which can be flipped up or down and held into position by a spring-loaded cam arrangement. The console also includes two inwardly facing surfaces which provide connectors for electronic devices resting on the ledge. A light-emitting face is provided on a back wall of the ledge so that any articles resting on the ledge can be seen in dark environments.

Disclosed is a foldable tracking table assembly comprising a primary leaf, and a secondary leaf rotatably secured to the primary leaf and a table bracket secured to the opposite end of the primary leaf The table bracket in turn is secured to an adapter plate which is atop one or more pillow blocks. The pillow blocks are disposed atop linear rails upon which the pillow blocks are capable of longitudinally traversing. Adjacent the linear rail is a serrated track parallel to the at least one rail and a serrated pawl capable of locking engagement with the serrated track. A solenoid facilitates the locking engagement of the pawl with the serrated track wherein a user of the table assembly manually activates the solenoid withdrawing the serrated pawl from locking engagement with the serrated track thereby allowing the table assembly to traverse the linear rail to a position that accommodates the user.

A stowable chair armrest for a seat assembly which includes a armrest portion connected to the seat assembly through a restricted movement rotating joint which has limited rotation about a horizontal X and Y axes, the Y-axis being parallel to the length of the armrest portion and positioned above the plane of the seat cushion whereby the armrest portion is rotatable about the Y-axis approximately 180&#xb0; from an elevated position of the armrest to a retracted position. When the armrest is in its use position, it cannot rotate downward about its Y-axis. However, the arm rest can be lifted upward 10&#xb0; about its X-axis, wherein a flat blade connecting the armrest to a spherical pivot becomes aligned in a longitudinal chamber having a circular cross-section thus permitting the armrest portion to rotate 180&#xb0; about its Y-axis to its stowed position.
