A fenestration assembly including a panel, a lock assembly coupled to the panel, and an actuation system coupled to the lock assembly. The lock assembly includes a motor, a transmission driven by the motor, a sensing assembly, and a slide assembly that includes a rack member operatively coupled to the motor by the transmission and a drive bracket member that is slidable by the rack member between a locked drive bracket member position and an unlocked drive bracket member position.

Fenestration automation systems and methods

A fenestration unit is disclosed. In various examples, the fenestration unit includes a plurality of panels, including first and second panels. In some examples, one or more of the plurality of panels is configured to slide relative to a frame of the fenestration unit to provide an opening in the fenestration unit. In various examples, each of the first and second panels are also configured to be pivoted relative to the frame such that the first and second panels can be hinged or otherwise pivoted open to increase the size of the opening in the fenestration unit.

Slide and pivot fenestration unit

Sliding operator assemblies and associated fenestration units, systems, and methods of use and assembly are described. Some such sliding operator assemblies transition a first, linear actuation force along a first axis (e.g., vertical) to a second actuation force along a second axis (e.g., horizontal) to cause a drive mechanism to impart opening and closing forces, respectively, on the sash. Some designs relate to belt-, twisted ribbon-, or band-drive sliding operator assemblies.

Motorized actuators for pivoting fenestration units that include both lock and open/close actuation, are addressed. Such actuators, and associated fenestration systems and methods, may achieve a variety of potential advantages, including egress functionality, ease of operation, active position control, aesthetically pleasing features (e.g., minimal design impact), intuitive controls, and others.

Powered pivoting fenestration unit and associated systems and methods

Fenestration units that include slide mechanisms that operate the unit through linear motion. Slide mechanism designs include a handle, a slide member coupled to the handle, and a linear rail along which the slide member is slidably received such that the slide member is operable to slide in a linear motion. The slide member includes an attachment structure for operatively coupling with a drive belt to transfer linear motion through a transfer mechanism to a drive mechanism of the unit. The attachment structure is attached to the drive belt such that a position of the attachment mechanism along the length of the drive belt may be adjusted by a user.

Slide mechanism for fenestration unit and associated methods

Installation systems and methods for fenestration units configured to be set into a rough opening (RO) from interior side of a building structure or wall. The fenestration units may include a frame having a perimeter; and at least one anchoring clip including a first anchoring clip. The first anchoring clip may be coupled to the perimeter of the frame and transitionable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. The first anchoring clip may include a coupling bracket having a first leg and a second leg and a carrier bracket configured to receive the first leg of the coupling bracket. In the stowed configuration, the second leg projects inwardly away from the perimeter toward the center of the frame, and in the deployed configuration, the second leg projects outwardly from perimeter and away from the center of the frame.

Fenestration unit installation clips and associated methods

Installation systems and methods for fenestration units configured to be set into a rough opening (RO) from interior side of a building structure or wall. The fenestration units may include a retention system coupled to the frame and operable to exert a retention force on the fenestration unit to maintain positive engagement of the fenestration unit with the rough opening framing and resist extraction of the fenestration unit from the rough opening upon insertion of the fenestration unit in the rough opening from the interior side of the rough opening.

Fenestration unit with interior installation features and associated systems and methods

A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly mounted in at least one of: the top portion and the bottom portion. The frame includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two jambs forming first slots extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the jamb. The first slots each include a screen edge retention feature. The screen assembly includes a roller assembly substantially hidden from view, a screen material attached to the roller assembly, and a plurality of raised features. Edges of the screen material extend into the first slots. The raised features are attached to each of the edges of the screen material. The raised features are configured to engage the screen edge retention features and retain each of the edges of the screen material at least partially within the first slot of each of the two jambs.

A fenestration unit comprising a frame having a center, a sash coupled to the frame, an interior pane coupled to the sash, a spacer coupled to the interior pane, an exterior pane coupled to the sash and the spacer, the exterior pane including an inward-facing surface, and a peripheral shield disposed on the inward-facing surface of the exterior pane such that, when viewed at direct angle, the peripheral shield hides the spacer, the sash, and at least part of the frame.

Enhanced field of view for fenestration units

A fenestration unit including a first panel having a leading portion and a trailing portion, a second panel, and a frame including a first lateral member and a second lateral member. The first lateral member has a trolley space configured to slideably receive a trolley assembly. The trolley assembly includes a first trolley coupled to the leading portion of the first panel and a second trolley coupled to the trailing portion of the first panel. Each of the first and the second trolleys includes a guide pin slideably received in the leading and trailing tracks, respectively. The guide pins are configured to guide the first panel out of a coplanar relationship with the second panel when the first panel is slid to an opened position and guide the first panel into a coplanar relationship with the second panel when the first panel is slid to a closed position.

A screen assembly used with a fenestration unit, the screen assembly capable of being installed at manufacture or retroactively to fenestration units. The screen assembly is installable on a fenestration unit having a frame and a window sash. The screen assembly includes a housing having a first housing member and a second housing member, wherein the housing forms a screen retention space between the first and second housing members when the screen assembly is in a closed position. It further includes a pleated screen positioned between the first and second housing members when the screen assembly is in the closed position, wherein the pleated screen includes a first end coupled to the first housing member and a second end coupled to the second housing member. The screen assembly also includes a catch element configured to releasably engage with the window sash.
