Systems and methods establish and maintain end-to-end priority of wireless multimedia priority service (MPS) sessions terminating to subscribers without high priority access. A network device a wireless core network receives a request to establish a bearer for an elevated priority call. The elevated priority call originates from a first user equipment (UE) device in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connected mode having an elevated priority status and terminates at a second UE device in a RRC connected mode having a non-elevated priority status. The network device determines modification of a terminating bearer for the second UE device is necessary to preclude preemption during periods of network congestion and identifies a high priority parameter of an originating bearer for the first UE device. The network device initiates establishment of the terminating bearer to match the high priority parameter of the originating bearer.

Temporary priority elevation for non-high priority access users

A network device may receive, from a first radio access network (RAN), a first registration request associated with a first user device, and may determine, for the first registration request, first multimedia priority service (MPS) access indication parameters that are set to true for provision of MPSs to the first user device. The network device may generate a first registration accept message that includes the first MPS access indication parameters, and may provide the first registration accept message, with the first MPS access indication parameters, to the first user device to enable the first user device to utilize one of the MPSs on the first RAN.

Systems and methods for providing a radio access network fallback for multimedia priority services

A network device may receive a subscription request to subscribe to a multimedia priority service (MPS) for a user device, and may generate an MPS profile for the user device based on the subscription request. The network device may store the MPS profile in a data structure, and may receive, from the user device, a request to generate an MPS token for the user device. The network device may retrieve the MPS profile from the data structure based on the request to generate the MPS token, and may generate the MPS token based on the MPS profile. The network device may provide the MPS token to the user device.

Systems and methods for providing prioritization for data transport services

A method for paging priority and wireless access which includes receiving, at a base station and from a core network, a paging message associated with a priority connection from a first user equipment device (UE) having an elevated priority status, to a second UE having a non-elevated priority status. The method further includes determining, at the base station, that non-elevated priority wireless access channels are congested, detecting, at the base station, a priority indicator within the received paging message in response to determining that the non-elevated priority wireless access channels are congested. The method further includes caching, at the base station, an identifier of the second UE in response to detecting the priority indicator in the received paging message, and establishing a wireless connection between the first UE and the second UE upon verifying that the identifier of the second UE has been cached.

Paging priority and wireless access for non-high priority access users during wireless network congestion

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a Wi-Fi admission control and prioritization service is provided. The Wi-Fi admission control and prioritization service may be included in a Wi-Fi access device. The Wi-Fi admission control and prioritization service may include the Wi-Fi access device reserving Wi-Fi data connections for priority users. An end device may transmit priority information to the Wi-Fi access device during a Wi-Fi connection establishment procedure. The Wi-Fi access device may use one of the reserved data connections to establish a Wi-Fi connection with the end device. The priority information may include a non-Wi-Fi access control class value that indicates the end device is of a high priority. The Wi-Fi access device may provide quality of service and prioritization, which is in correspondence to the priority information, to traffic of the end device that traverses the Wi-Fi access device.

Wi-fi access prioritization and call admission control

A system described herein may provide a technique for providing high priority access to one or more particular priority cells implemented by a base station of a radio access network ('RAN') associated with a wireless telecommunications network. A first group of User Equipment (“UEs”) may be High Priority Access (“HPA”) UEs, and a second group of UEs may be non-HPA UEs. In response to triggering events, system broadcast messages and/or Radio Resource Control (“RRC”) release messages may be used to cause HPA UEs to connect to the priority cells, and may cause non-HPA UEs to connect to other (e.g., non-priority) cells implemented by the base station.

Systems and methods for cell selection and reselection based on user equipment ('UE') access level

Uplink congestion control based on session initiation protocol (SIP) messaging includes receiving SIP messages from user equipment devices (UEs) via established wireless uplink connections; and monitoring a rate of the SIP messages received from the UEs. Uplink congestion control further includes identifying whether the rate of received SIP messages exceeds a first threshold during a first period of time; and sending SIP response messages to the UEs to reduce congestion on the wireless uplink connections upon identifying that the rate of received SIP messages exceeded the first threshold over the first period of time, where the sent SIP response messages instruct the UEs to resend the SIP messages after predetermined time delays.

One or more network components, such as a Call Session Control Function (&#x201c;CSCF&#x201d;) may prioritize SIP messages from the UE based on the priority class indicator included in the registration message by the UE.

A system described herein may provide for the prioritization of Session Initiation Protocol ('SIP') messages, transmitted by a User Equipment ('UE'), based on a priority class indicator included in the SIP messages by the UE. A Universal Integrated Circuit Card (&#x201c;UICC&#x201d;) may store information indicating the priority class (e.g., in an Access Control Class (&#x201c;ACC&#x201d;) Elementary File (&#x201c;EF&#x201d;)). One or more network components, such as a Call Session Control Function (&#x201c;CSCF&#x201d;) and/or a Messaging Application Server (&#x201c;MAS&#x201d;) may prioritize the SIP message based on the priority class indicator included in the SIP message by the UE.

A system described herein may provide a technique for providing high priority access to one or more particular priority cells implemented by a base station of a radio access network ('RAN') associated with a wireless telecommunications network.
