An exhaust-gas treatment arrangement for an exhaust system of an internal-combustion engine includes a diesel internal-combustion engine. The arrangement includes a first exhaust-gas treatment unit and, downstream of the first exhaust-gas treatment unit, an exhaust-gas treatment assembly. The first exhaust-gas treatment unit and the exhaust-gas treatment assembly are arranged axially succeeding one another in the direction of a longitudinal axis of a flow path encompassing the first exhaust-gas treatment unit and the exhaust-gas treatment assembly. A hydrocarbon-feeding assembly is provided for feeding hydrocarbon into exhaust gas flowing in the flow path. The hydrocarbon-feeding assembly includes a hydrocarbon-dispensing unit dispensing hydrocarbon into the flow path downstream of the first exhaust-gas treatment unit and upstream of the exhaust-gas treatment assembly. A swirl-flow-generating unit is provided in the flow path upstream of the hydrocarbon-dispensing unit.

Exhaust-gas treatment arrangement

An exhaust-gas treatment arrangement for an exhaust-gas system of a combustion engine has a first exhaust-gas treatment unit and, downstream thereof, an exhaust-gas treatment assembly. The treatment unit and the treatment assembly are arranged axially one after the other in the direction of a flow-path longitudinal axis of a flow path including the treatment unit and the treatment assembly. A hydrocarbon introducer for introducing hydrocarbon into exhaust gas flowing in the flow path is in the flow path substantially axially between the treatment unit and the treatment assembly. The hydrocarbon introducer includes an introduction ring flow channel annularly surrounding the flow-path longitudinal axis. The channel is open in an upstream end region toward an outlet region of the treatment unit and is open in a downstream end region toward an inlet region of the treatment assembly. The hydrocarbon introduction assembly includes a discharging unit for discharging hydrocarbon into the channel.

A mixing subassembly for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine for mixing exhaust gas, which is discharged by an internal combustion engine, with reactant includes a mixing path which extends in the direction of a mixing path longitudinal axis and which has an upstream mixing path inflow region for receiving exhaust gas and/or reactant in the mixing path. The mixing path includes a core flow channel, through which a first exhaust gas partial flow flows, and a bypass flow channel, through which a second exhaust gas partial flow flows. At least one flow blocking element reduces a flow cross section of the bypass flow channel and is arranged in the bypass flow channel.

Mixing subassembly for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine

An exhaust gas/reactant mixing assembly for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine includes a mixing channel defining a longitudinal axis and extending in the direction thereof. A reactant delivery unit delivers reactant (R) into the mixing channel and an exhaust gas supply channel is arranged upstream of the mixing channel. The exhaust gas supply channel opens into the mixing channel at an opening channel region, wherein the opening channel region has at least two opening channel portions opening into the mixing channel.

Exhaust gas/reactant mixing assembly

An exhaust gas/reactant mixing arrangement for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine mixes exhaust gas and reactant. The mixing arrangement includes an exhaust gas guide housing defining a longitudinal axis and having a housing wall. An exhaust gas duct is surrounded by the housing wall and exhaust gas can flow therethrough. A mixing zone has a mixing chamber formed between an upstream end wall and a downstream end wall and a reactant dispensing arrangement is supported on the exhaust gas guide housing. The reactant dispensing arrangement dispenses reactant into the mixing chamber along a reactant dispensing line in a dispensing direction. A mixture flow path leads from an inflow opening to an outflow opening and is formed in the mixing chamber. The mixture flow path has two flow deflection regions, which follow one another in a mixture flow direction and have mutually opposite flow deflection directions.

Exhaust gas/reactant mixing device

A mixer assembly unit, for an exhaust system exhaust gas treatment unit of an internal combustion engine, mixes exhaust gas discharged by the internal combustion engine with reactant. A mixing section (), downstream in relation to a reactant release device (), mixes exhaust gas, flowing in an exhaust gas flow direction, with reactant. The mixing section includes a core flow duct (), extending in a direction of a mixing section longitudinal axis (L), through which a first exhaust gas partial stream (T) flows. A second exhaust gas partial stream (T) flows through a jacket flow duct () surrounding the core flow duct and separated from the core flow duct by an inner wall (). The reactant release device releases reactant into the core flow duct or/and into the first exhaust gas partial stream. A mixer () is provided at an upstream end area () of the mixing section.

Mixer assembly unit

An exhaust system for an internal combustion engine includes an exhaust gas flow duct (), through which exhaust gas can flow in an exhaust gas main flow direction (A), and a reactant injection device () for injecting reactant in a reactant injection area () of the exhaust gas flow duct () in a reactant main injection direction (R). The reactant main injection direction (R) and the exhaust gas main flow direction (A) in the reactant injection area () are not parallel and not at right angles to one another.

Exhaust system

An injection section () of an exhaust system for an internal combustion engine, with a channel () for guiding an exhaust gas flow (), with an injection port (), laterally on the channel to which a liquid or gas injector () can be connected, and with an injection chamber (), formed in the channel in the area of the injector port. The chamber is defined by a perforated, first flow through partition (), arranged in the channel upstream of the injector port relative to the exhaust gas flow and, and by a perforated, second flow through partition, arranged in the channel downstream of the injector port relative to the exhaust gas flow. Improved mixing and/or evaporation is achieved with the perforation portion of the first partition generating at least two partial exhaust gas flows (), which form two mutually opposite flow swirls ().

Catalytic converter device with injection section

An exhaust system injection section () includes an exhaust gas flow channel (), a laterally arranged injector connection (), with a fluid introducing injector () and an injection chamber () formed in the channel, which is delimited by a perforated first separating wall (), arranged in the channel upstream of the injector connection, and a perforated second separating wall () arranged in the channel downstream of the injector connection. To provides intensive mixing of the injected fluid with the exhaust gas flow a perforation () of the first separating wall () is configured so that exhaust gas largely flows eccentrically through the first separating wall () with respect to a longitudinal center axis () of the channel and a perforation () of the second separating wall () is configured so that exhaust gas largely flows concentrically through the second separating wall () with respect to the longitudinal center axis ().

Exhaust gas aftertreatment device with injection section

A mixing and/or evaporating device () for an exhaust system () of a combustion engine (), in particular of a motor vehicle, includes a support body (), which encloses a flat cross section through which a flow can flow running transversely to the axial direction () of the device () in the circumferential direction (). The support body () comprises two long side walls () located opposite each other and two short side walls () located opposite each other, wherein the short side walls () each connect the two long side walls () with each other. At least on one long side wall () at least on one axial end (), a plurality of guide blades () is arranged. The guide blades () stand away in a direction of the other long side wall () and are angled relative to the axial direction ().

Mixing and/or evaporating device

A mixing and/or evaporating device () for an exhaust system () of a combustion engine (), in particular of a motor vehicle, includes a support body which encloses a cross section of the device () through which a flow can flow and which runs transversely to the axial direction () of the device () in the circumferential direction. The support body () has at least one guide blade () which extends away transversely to the axial direction (). An improved efficiency is obtained with the guide blade () having a roof-shaped profile (), including two guide surfaces () that are interconnected via a ridge () or apex.
