A drug delivery device is proposed which comprises: a housing defining an interior; a reservoir which is adapted to contain a drug or contains a drug, the reservoir being retained in the interior; and a closure part which is secured relative to the housing and has to be disconnected from the housing to get access to the reservoir within the interior, wherein the closure part is secured relative to the housing by a connection, wherein the connection comprises a welded connection, and wherein the welded connection is formed between two join partners, i.e. a first join partner and a second join partner. Further, a method for manufacturing a drug delivery device is disclosed as is a use associated with drug delivery devices.

A drug delivery device is provided with a cartridge holder having at least one guide track, and a body having at least one interaction member adapted and arranged to mechanically cooperate with the at least one guide track. The guide track has a first section and a second section, wherein the path which is defined by the first section encloses an angle with the longitudinal axis of the device, wherein the angle which is enclosed by the path defined by the first section with the longitudinal axis is smaller than the angle which is enclosed by the path defined by the second section with the longitudinal axis.

A drive assembly for a drug delivery device is disclosed. The drive assembly is connectable with a cartridge holder and comprises a housing, a piston rod, the piston rod being movable in a distal direction for drug delivery, and a guide nut, the guide nut being rotatable relative to the housing around an axis of the assembly and provided for guiding the piston rod. A locking means is provided which is enabled to take an engaged state in which the locking means is engaged with the guide nut in order to prevent rotation of the guide nut and to take a disengaged state in which the locking means is disengaged from the guide nut in order to allow rotation of the guide nut. Moreover, a coupling means is provided, the coupling means being rotatable relative to the housing around the axis of the assembly for interaction with the locking means in order to change between the engaged state and the disengaged state of the locking means.
