An electric machine has a rotor and a stator defined by a stator laminated core (). The rotor and the stator are separated from one another by a can () for the cooling of the stator using a liquid coolant. The electric machine has a stator component () formed as a single piece and composed of the stator laminated core () and of a plastics workpiece () molded thereon. A laminated core () is provided for a stator or rotor of an electric machine. The laminated core () is formed from multiple laminations () that are stacked one on top of another in an axial direction () to form a lamination stack (). A through-opening () is formed in the lamination stack () and extends parallel to the axial direction (). A tie rod () of plastic is introduced, in particular injection molded, in the through-opening () to assemble the laminated core ().

A stator for an electrical machine has a stator core () with stator grooves (). Stator windings () are received in the stator grooves () of the stator core (). Groove insulators () are received in the stator grooves () of the stator core () such that the groove insulators () are arranged between the stator core () and the stator windings (). The groove insulators () are made of plastic, namely a first plastic that provides the isolation function of the groove insulator () and a second plastic and/or a third plastic that provides a function of the respective groove insulator () differing from the isolating function.

A stator for an electric machine includes: a laminated stator core including stator grooves and having a plug-in side and a bending side, which bending side lies opposite the plug-in side in an axial direction; a stator winding having hairpin elements which are pushed into the stator grooves on the plug-in side of the laminated stator core and bent and electrically connected to the stator winding on the bending side of the laminated stator core; and an end plate which is arranged on the plug-in side in the axial direction between the laminated stator core and the hairpin elements. The hairpin elements are arranged in the axial direction so as to bear against the end plate.

A method for producing a stator () of an electric machine is provided. The method includes providing a stator () with at least one stator slot () that is bounded by two stator teeth. The method proceeds by introducing electrical conductors () into the at least one stator slot (). At least one conductor () has an expandable coating () applied partially to its surface. The method continues by activating the expandable coating () to bring about an expansion of the coating (), as a result of which the conductors () are fixed within the stator slot ().
