A micromechanical light deflection device. The device includes a movable beam-deflecting element that is designed to deflect an input light beam into an output light beam, and a static beam-deflecting device having a plurality of differently oriented surfaces that are situated in the beam path of light for the movable beam-deflecting element in such a way that an input light beam for the movable beam-deflecting element and/or an output light beam from the movable beam-deflecting element passes through two of the differently oriented surfaces of the static beam-deflecting device.

Device and method for cleaning a partial region of a housing surface

A LIDAR system includes a transmitting device for light; a receiving device for light, including a first and a second photon detector; and an evaluation device that is configured for determining a time period between the emission of light with the aid of the transmitting device and the incidence at the receiving device of the light reflected on an object. The transmitting device is configured for emitting a superimposition of horizontally and vertically polarized light; the first photon detector is configured for detecting only horizontally polarized light, and the second photon detector is configured for detecting only vertically polarized light; in addition, the evaluation device is configured for determining the time period, based on light that is incident on both photon detectors within a predetermined interval.

SPAD-based LIDAR system

An optical assembly for a LiDAR system is described. The optical assembly includes receiver optics and transmitter optics, designed to include partially coaxial beam paths; a line light source having a line orientation, which is configured, in particular within the range of a field of view of the underlying LiDAR system; and a deflection unit in a transition region from a common coaxial region to a separate biaxial region of the beam paths of the receiver optics and of the transmitter optics for biaxially splitting off a detector-side portion of the beam path of the receiver optics. The deflection unit has a hole mirror having an elongated hole that has a greater extent in a direction of longitudinal extent and a lesser extent in a direction of transverse extent. The direction of longitudinal extent of the elongated hole is oriented orthogonally to the line orientation of the line light source.
