The disclosure relates to a road finishing machine with a screed for producing a paving layer, wherein the screed includes at least one compacting unit for precompacting paving material supplied to the screed. The compacting unit includes at least one eccentric bushing mounted on an eccentric shaft supporting the same and rotatable to a desired angle of rotation to thereby continuously variably set a desired tamper stroke of a tamper bar of the compacting unit. For rotating the eccentric bushing, the compacting unit includes at least one adjusting mechanism, wherein the adjusting mechanism includes an adjusting drive mounted on the eccentric shaft and rotatable along with the eccentric shaft. The disclosure furthermore relates to a method for a continuously variable tamper stroke adjustment at a compacting unit of a road finishing machine.

Tamper stroke adjustment

The disclosure relates to a road finishing machine with a screed for producing a paving layer, wherein the screed includes at least one compacting unit for precompacting paving material supplied to the screed. The compacting unit includes at least one eccentric bushing mounted on an eccentric shaft supporting the same at a desired angle of rotation to thereby continuously variably set a desired tamper stroke of a tamper bar of the compacting unit. For rotating the eccentric bushing on the eccentric shaft, an adjusting mechanism mounted spaced apart from the eccentric shaft and at least partially rotatable along with a rotary motion of the eccentric shaft can be activated. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to a method for a continuously variable tamper stroke adjustment at a compacting unit of a road finishing machine.

A road finisher is provided for producing a paving layer on a subgrade on which the road finisher is movable along a paving direction during a paving run. The road finisher is adapted to use distance measurements to the subgrade, which can be provided to a leveling system of the road finisher, equally as measured values for determining the thickness of a layer. A respective method for determining the layer thickness is provided.

A road finisher having a primary drive unit, a material hopper and a paving screed with a screed heating system that can be operated by energy generated by the primary drive unit is controlled. The screed heating system is operated to heat the screed during paving operation of the road finisher by controlling a temperature of the screed to a predetermined screed operating temperature value or to a predetermined screed operating temperature range. The road finisher anticipates a future operating state of increased energy demand of the road finisher. When a future operating state of increased energy demand has been detected, the screed heating system is operated to heat the screed beyond the predetermined screed operating temperature value or the predetermined screed operating temperature range. When the operating state of increased energy demand is reached, the screed heating system is at least temporarily deactivated.

Method for the foresighted control of a road finisher

A road paver with at least one operating module to enter operating commands. The operating module comprises a plurality of buttons that can each be pressed in a contact-based way to enter the respective operating commands in order to activate relevant operating functions of the road paver. According to the disclosure, the road paver further comprises a sensor unit that is designed to detect a distance of an operator to the operating module, whereby this distance determines a space from the operating module to any body part of the operator. The sensor unit is connected to a control unit of the road paver that is configured to already activate at least one of the operating functions of the road paver by means of the output signal as soon as the operator undercuts a predetermined threshold distance in relation to the operating module.

The present invention relates to a construction machine with automatic fan rotational speed regulation. The construction machine includes at least one electric motor that is connected functionally to a respective fan and a control unit formed for the purpose of registering operation-specific data. The control unit is configured for the purpose of regulating, depending on the operation-specific data, an electric output of the respective electric motor in order to adjust a desired target fan rotational speed on the fan.

The present invention describes a construction machine with a drive unit and with a cooling system that comprises a fan. The fan is connected to the drive unit by means of a controllable viscous coupling, whereby the viscous coupling can be adjusted in such a way that a required fan rotational speed is set on the output side. In a road finishing machine with a primary power plant and a power transfer to a hydraulic pump and/or a generator for supplying power to hydraulically or electrically operated functional components, the power transfer comprises at least one clutch that can be optionally engaged and disengaged, and a clutch control device is provided by means of which, depending on at least the operator guidance and/or a detected clutch loading situation, a disengagement delay (&#x394;t) automatically overriding the operator guidance can be set, and/or a clutch shifting number restriction can be set by means of a detection interval (dt) moving along in time. In the hydrostatic working operation of a road finishing machine or a feeder which comprises a primary power plant with an internal combustion engine (M) and several hydraulic variable displacement pumps, which are hydraulically connected to hydraulic motors of working components, and which possesses a computerized control device, the internal combustion engine is operated within its engine-specific characteristic map in response to the load condition by dynamic speed adaptation in a characteristic zone with optimal consumption, and the displacements (V) of the variable displacement pumps are simultaneously automatically adapted for keeping the volume flow rates for the hydraulic motors constant. In the road finishing machine or the feeder, in the control device or connected to the same, a control loop for evaluating the load condition of the internal combustion engine and the current displacement of the variable displacement pumps is provided, by means of which the speed can be dynamically adjusted to or in a characteristic zone with optimal consumption, and simultaneously with the adjustment of the speed for keeping the volume flow rates for the hydraulic motors constant, the displacements of the variable displacement pumps can be automatically adapted.

Method for closed-loop power control of a road finishing machine or feeder and a road finishing machine or feeder comprising the same

A self-propelling machine for processing bituminous or concrete pavement material, in particular a road finisher or a feeder. The machine comprises an internal combustion engine as a primary drive source, a controller for the engine, said controller receiving control signals, at least one additional drive unit for functional and operational components of the machine as well as at least one hydraulic circuit comprising a hydraulic medium reservoir. The controller is configured for automatically causing starting and/or stopping of the engine in response to receipt of at least one specific control signal.
