A method comprises outputting at least one test signal to a listening environment via a loudspeaker, receiving each of the at least one test signal via a microphone arranged in the listening environment, determining at least one of a position and an orientation of the microphone in the listening environment with respect to the loudspeaker at the time of receipt of each of the at least one test signal, evaluating the test signals received by the microphone, and determining at least one aspect related to at least one transfer function based on the evaluation of the test signal and on at least one of the position and the orientation of the microphone.

A method for separating an audio input signal into a dry signal component and an ambient signal component is provided. The method includes generating a transferred input signal including transferring the audio input signal into frequency space and applying a smoothing filter to the transferred input signal to generate an estimated ambient signal component. The method includes determining the dry signal component based on the estimated ambient signal component and determining the ambient signal component based on the determined dry signal component and the audio input signal.

A system for enhancing artificial reverberation in a noisy listening space includes a sensor configured to generate a signal indicating a current noise level in a listening space, a loudspeaker configured to output sound in the listening space based on an output signal, and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to execute instructions to: generate an artificial reverberation signal based on a source signal and a response of a listening space, wherein the artificial reverberation signal includes a first low output-level portion having output levels that are below a compression threshold level and a first high output-level portion having output levels that are above the compression threshold level; generate a compressed artificial reverberation signal based on the artificial reverberation signal by increasing the output levels of the low output-level portion by a first magnitude and increasing the output levels of the high output-level portion by less than the first magnitude; and combine the compressed artificial reverberation signal with the source signal to form an output signal for the listening space.

A method for adapting a gain of at least one channel audio input signal in order to generate an N channel audio output signal, wherein at least one channel audio input signal includes a speech input channel, in which speech signal components, if present in the at least one channel audio input signal, are present, and comprising other audio input channels. A perceived loudness of the at least one channel audio input signal is dynamically determined and it is determined whether speech signal components are present in the speech input channel. If this is the case the gain of the speech input channel is adapted differently compared to the gain of the other audio input channels.

A vehicle sound processing system including an array of sensors, memory, and a processing unit. The array of sensors is configured to detect signals of an object located outside the vehicle. The memory is configured to store control instructions. The processing unit is connected to the array of sensors and configured to read the control instructions from the memory and to perform, based on the control instructions, the following steps: determining the location of the object outside the vehicle is based on the detected signals, generating a three-dimensional sound field inside the vehicle and a sound event representing the detected object is placed in the three-dimensional sound field at a virtual location in the three-dimensional sound field such that when the three-dimensional sound field with the sound event is output to a vehicle occupant, the vehicle occupant locates the sound event at the determined location of the object. Furthermore, a zoom function is provided with which a distance of the virtual location of the sound event relative to the vehicle occupant is decreased or increased.

A device and method for controlling reproduction of an audio signal is provided, wherein the device is operated by means of an energy storage device. The method comprises the steps of deactivating a normal mode and activating an energy saving mode. Power consumption from the energy storage device for reproduction of the audio signal is reduced in the energy saving mode when compared to the normal mode. The method comprises reducing in the energy saving mode, a bass frequency component of a frequency spectrum of the audio signal and outputting the audio signal with reduced bass frequency component. A method and system for generating augmented reality with a display of a vehicle is provided. The method comprises recording an image of an environment of the vehicle in the form of image data, determining a virtual space in three dimensions from the image data, and detecting a real object in the image data. The method further comprises determining a first coordinate range of the real object in the three dimensional virtual space, adding a virtual element to the three dimensional virtual space, and controlling the virtual element in the three dimensional virtual space based on a user input. The method further comprises outputting the environment and the controlled virtual element in combined form in an output image, modifying the output image when the first coordinate range of the real object and a second coordinate range of the controlled virtual element form an intersection area, and displaying the output image.

Method and system for generating augmented reality with a display of a motor vehicle

A system and method for switching between multiple audio input signals to select one of the audio input signals as audio output signal are disclosed which include receiving the audio input signals, receiving a control signal, and switching controlled by the control signal from a first one of the audio input signals to a second one of the audio input signals. Prior to switching, the first one of the audio input signals is muted and upon switching, the second one of the audio input signals is unmuted in one of multiple unmute modes based on one or more signal parameters characterizing the second one of the audio input signals.

A device for a conference system and method for operation thereof is provided. The device is configured to receive a first audio signal and a first identifier associated with a first participant. The device is further configured to receive a second audio signal and a second identifier associated with a second participant. The device includes a filter configured to filter the received first audio signal and the received second audio signal and to output a filtered signal to a number of electroacoustic transducers. The device includes a control unit connected to the filter. The control unit is configured to control one or more first filter coefficients based on the first identifier and to control one or more second filter coefficients based on the second identifier.
