Implementations of the present disclosure include receiving, by a parser, a view source file and an extension source file, the view source file defining a view on data stored in a database, the extension source file defining an extension to the view, parsing, by the parser, the view source file to provide a view abstract syntax tree (AST) and the extension source file to provide an extension AST, providing, by the parser, a merged AST based on the view AST and the extension AST, generating a mixed runtime data object using the merged AST, and providing the mixed runtime data object for consumption by at least one runtime component.

A computer-implemented method and computer program product for adapting enterprise services to specific requirements of an enterprise. A graphical representation of a plurality of service elements is generated on a computer. Each service element includes an input and an output. A link is generated between an output of a first service element of the plurality of service elements and an input of a second service element of the plurality of service elements. The first and second service elements are concatenated via the link to form an adapted service element.

There is disclosed an integrated development environment for development of a composite application, wherein the development environment integrates a plurality of different heterogeneous development frameworks to provide a single user interface and perspective for developing a composite application including components from the different heterogeneous frameworks. In the environment, objects from different frameworks and layers may be viewed simultaneously, navigated between, edited and composed. Error checking functionality allows edits across different layers or objects of different frameworks to be checked at design time.
