A self-ventilated electrodynamic rotary machine includes a housing configured to at least partially axially enclose the rotary machine, and a fan connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a shaft on a ventilation side of the rotary machine and configured to generate a main cooling air flow when the shaft rotates about an axis. The fan includes a cover which is configured to direct the main cooling air flow onto the housing and is structured to improve cooling of the housing. An air guide element is detachably fixed to the cover to generate an additional cooling air flow. The air guide element, when viewed in a circumferential direction, has a segmented design and is configured as separate part for retrofitting to the cover depending on a thermal requirement of the rotary machine.

Self-ventilated electrodynamic rotary machine

Various teachings of the present disclosure include a device for impregnating, consolidating, or electrically insulating a body bearing single-layer or multi-layer windings. In some embodiments, the device comprises: electrical contacts for applying a DC voltage between the windings and the body; a multi-component reactive resin; and a resin bath filled with the reactive resin. A DC voltage of at least 300 V/mm is applied between the windings and the body, with the result that the body bearing the windings, on the one hand, and the windings, on the other hand, act like the two electrodes of a capacitor and draw in the reactive resin.

Various embodiments include an electrical insulation system for an electric motor comprising: a laminated core having slots and wire windings; an surface electrical insulation in the slots surrounding individual wires with a potting compound; and an absorbent material between the individual wires and within the wire winding bounded by surface insulation material. The absorbent material took up liquid impregnation resin during the manufacturing process. The liquid impregnation resin has cured and now forms the potting compound.

Various embodiments of the teachings herein include an apparatus for voltage equalization in square-wave voltages of electric motors. The apparatus may include: a terminal board circuit wherein phases U, V, and W each comprises input and output cabled conductors summing to at least 6 cables; and a bridge between two of the at least six cables connecting two or more of the at least 6 cable inputs and outputs. The bridge is partially conductive such that its electrical resistance markedly reduces above a threshold value. The partial conductivity results from filler particles in an embedding matrix determining a reduction of the resistance in the bridge above the threshold value.

A slot wedge of a dynamoelectric machine which includes a stator having axially extending slots and a winding system disposed in the slots, is configured to cover a corresponding one of the slots in a direction of an air gap and includes a first layer, and a second layer arranged in spaced-apart to the first layer at least in one section to form a flow channel between the first and second layers. The second layer can have a perforation with a different density of holes per unit area, with the density of the holes being greater in a central area of the second layer and/or a perforation having holes defined by a diameter which is greater in a central area of the slot.

Disclosed is a method for pulling a stator winding system of an electric machine into a stator lamination stack of the electric machine and to a winding tool, with the stator lamination stack having stator grooves which run parallel to a rotation axis of the electric machine and are distributed in a circle around the rotation axis and open thereto and which have on an end facing the rotation axis a gap region which is narrowed relative to the rest of the stator groove. Windings are arranged in the stator grooves, and winding overhangs, as seen in the direction of the rotation axis, protrude from the stator lamination stack at the two axial ends thereof, with the windings formed in the stator grooves as laid windings. The stator lamination stack has no guide structures on the two axial ends for guiding the individual turns of the windings.

A component for an electric machine includes a flat region in which an electric line runs when the component is integrated into the electric machine and which includes a sharp-edged structure. A polymer layer adheres to the flat region without further aid such as to mask the sharp-edged structure and thereby protect from damage the electric line on the flat region. The polymer layer is made of cured plastic adhesive and jetted onto the flat region in the form of threads, such that the threads are spin-coated on top of one another in the form of overlapping loops and form a network structure which spans the sharp-edged structure.

In a method for encapsulating a winding overhang of a stator which includes a laminated core with windings inserted in grooves of the laminated core such that winding ends protrude from the grooves to form a winding overhang at a distance from a laminated core end and run in a region between the laminated core end and the winding overhang so as to form intermediate spaces between the winding ends, at least one of the intermediate spaces is spanned by a polymer layer such as to prevent a flow of encapsulating compound through the at least one spanned intermediate space, and the winding overhang is encapsulated with the encapsulating compound after placing the stator in a housing of an electric machine.

A stator of a rotary electrical machine includes a laminated core having grooves, windings inserted into the grooves for forming a multi-phase winding system, and an insulating layer made of plastic and sprayed between partial winding overhangs of the windings of phases inserted immediately one after the other. The insulating layer is formed as a mesh-like structure having junctions and brace-like connections running between the junctions.

Various embodiments include a passive component comprising: a substrate; and two conductor tracks disposed on the substrate. The substrate forms an electrically insulating bridge between at least two phases of an electrically rotating machine. A stator of an electric machine includes a laminated core having slots for receiving windings of a multiphase winding system. The windings have winding ends, which are encased with an insulator across a partial length. In order to encase the winding ends with the insulator, a strand of a thermoplastic material is extruded onto the winding ends via a nozzle. During extrusion, the nozzle is moved relative to the winding end along the longitudinal extent thereof and an oscillating movement of the nozzle transversely to the longitudinal extent of the winding end overlays the movement along the longitudinal extent. As a result the thermoplastic material lies on the winding end and around the respective winding end in the form of loops.

Insulation of winding ends of a stator winding

A verification device for verifying an electrical overvoltage between two electrical conductors includes a conductor-track carrier made of an electrically insulating carrier material, a plurality of conductor tracks applied in spaced-apart relation from one another on the conductor-track carrier, and a measuring device acquiring an electrical resistance of one of the conductor tracks. Each of the two electrical conductors is electrically connected to at least one of the conductor tracks with the proviso that none of the conductor tracks is electrically connected to both of the two electrical conductors. The conductor tracks are configured such that a prespecified overvoltage between the two electrical conductors causes a partial discharge that changes the electrical resistance of the one conductor track between the one conductor track and another one of the conductor tracks that is electrically connected to one of the two electrical conductors.
