An exhaust manifold for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine is disclosed having a housing, an inlet flange which can be fixed to the cylinder head of the internal combustion engine and has a plurality of inlet openings, and an exhaust outlet. The housing comprises an inner shell and an outer shell, an insulating material being incorporated between the outer shell and the inner shell. A guide plate is provided on the inlet flange side of the inner shell and the outer shell. The guide plate has inflow openings which correspond with the inlet openings of the inlet flange and is joined to the inlet flange. The outer shell engages with its inlet flange-side edge around the guide plate and is joined to the inlet flange and the guide plate.

Exhaust manifold

An exhaust manifold for an exhaust system of a combustion engine includes an outer shell, an inner shell arranged in the outlet shell, and an inlet flange which is configured for attachment to a cylinder head of the combustion engine and has a receptacle. The inner shell is floatingly supported in the outer shell and has an inlet-flange-side edge which is formed with an outwardly bent flange positioned in the receptacle of the inlet flange. The outer shell has an inlet-flange-side edge which has at least one area which rests in the receptacle upon the outwardly bent flange and is joined with the receptacle.

An exhaust manifold for an exhaust system of a combustion engine includes an internal pipe system having a plurality of pipe sections and an outer shell which is disposed in spaced-apart surrounding relationship to the internal pipe system and joined to an outlet flange. The outlet flange includes a neck portion, an outer flange portion adjacent to the neck portion, and an inwardly directed shoulder portion which extends from the neck portion outwards, with the outer shell being joined at the shoulder portion to the outlet flange.

Exhaust manifold for exhaust system of a combustion engine

An exhaust manifold for installation onto a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine includes a housing having plural inlet openings and an outlet opening. The housing includes an inner shell and an outer shell in surrounding relationship to the inner shell to define a gap there between. The inner shell is floatingly arranged in the outer shell and rests at a side of the cylinder head upon a guide plate which is formed with the plural inlet openings and includes guide members respectively arranged about a circumference of the inlet openings. The outer shell has a cylinder-head-proximal marginal region formed with an outwardly bent flange that rests upon the guide plate and is joined in gastight manner to the guide plate by a material joint. The flange has an outer side in opposition to the guide plate, with a collar being arranged on the outer side of the flange.

An exhaust gas system includes a turbocharger housing and an exhaust manifold having manifold pipes and connected to the turbocharger housing. The turbocharger housing has a pipe collector extending in a direction of the exhaust manifold for connection of the manifold pipes.
