A stacked-plate heat exchanger may include a first stacked-plate pack and a second stacked-plate pack. Each pack may have a plurality of stacked plates placed side by side and connected to one another, and a base plate via which at least one of inflow and outflow of a coolant may take place. The first and second stacked-plate packs may be connected to one another with the base plates lying against one another. The stacked-plate heat exchanger may also include a holder that holds the first and second stacked-plate packs exclusively on the two base plates. The first and second stacked-plate packs may each be directly connected to at least one of a coolant inlet and a coolant outlet via the respective base plates.

Stacked-plate heat exchanger

An exhaust gas cooler may include a plurality of stacked disc pairs. A first flow chamber for a coolant flow may be disposed between two discs of at least a first disc pair of the plurality of disc pairs. A second flow chamber for an exhaust gas flow may be disposed between two second disc pairs of the plurality of disc pairs arranged mutually adjacent with respect to one another. The plurality of stacked disc pairs may include at least one coolant inlet and at least one coolant outlet. The first disc pair may include a plurality of coolant inlets and a plurality of coolant outlets surrounding an edge of the first disc pair to facilitate peripheral edge cooling.

Exhaust gas cooler

A heat exchanger, particularly an exhaust gas heat exchanger, for transferring heat in two stages between a first fluid and second and third fluids that have different temperatures includes a block for separately conducting the first and second and third fluids in a heat transferring manner. The block encompasses a number of ducts through which the first fluid can flow, a first chamber of a high-temperature part through which the second fluid can flow and which accommodates the ducts, a second chamber of a low-temperature part through which the third fluid flows and which accommodates the ducts, and a housing in which the first and second chamber as well as the ducts are arranged. The first chamber and the second chamber are separated from one another by a separation area that is mounted in a groove.

Heat exchanger, exhaust gas recirculation system, and use of a heat exchanger

A device for exhaust-gas recirculation for an internal combustion engine is provided that includes a flange for attaching to a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine. Combustion air flows from a passage region of the flange directly into at least one intake duct of a cylinder, and an inlet for an inflow of recirculated exhaust gas into the combustion air is provided. The inlet for the inflow of the recirculated exhaust gas is arranged on the flange.

Device for exhaust gas recirculation for an internal combustion engine

A flow channel for a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between a first fluid and a second fluid, the flow channel having, perpendicular to a flow channel axis, a cross-section that can be traversed, the flow channel providing for an improved transfer of heat with an acceptable drop of pressure and a reduced risk of blocking. The flow channel has a hydraulic diameter, defined as quadruple the ratio between the surface of the cross-section that is traversed and the perimeter that can be moistened by the fluid, of between 1.5 mm and 6 mm. Also a heat exchanger having a plurality of flow channels of this type, through which the first fluid flows and fluidically connected by a fluid connection. Also a charge-air system and an exhaust gas recycling system having such flow channels.
