The invention relates to a multi-part universal housing for receiving information technology, measurement technology and communication technology components also with an integrated surge protector for applications under a very wide range of climatic conditions and with a high protection level. The housing consists of a main housing body, wherein a removable housing lid is provided on the front side and a mounting device can be attached on the rear side of the main housing body.
