A solid catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins made from or containing a magnesium halide, a titanium compound having at least a Ti-halogen bond, a first electron donor compound selected from 1,3 diethers (DE), and a second electron donor compound selected from dicarbamates (DC), wherein the first and second electron donor compounds are present in a molar ratio DE:DC ranging from 4.5:1 to 20:1.

A process for the preparation of a solid catalyst component for the homo or copolymerization of olefins, wherein the solid catalyst component is made from or contains Mg, Ti, halogen and an electron donor selected from cycloalkyl ethers, wherein the process includes the steps of (a) dissolving a Mg based compound and a TiClbased compound in a liquid medium further made from or containing a cycloalkyl ether and a compound of formula ROH where Ris a C-Chydrocarbon group, in which the Ti/Mg molar ratio ranges from 0.1 to 0.5, the cycloalkyl ether/Mg ratio ranges from 1 to 4 and the ROH/Mg molar ratio ranges from 1 to 4; and (b) adding, to the solution coming from step (a), SiClin an amount such that the ROH/SiClmolar ratio ranges from 0.5 to 1.5 and maintaining the temperature in the range 50-150&#xb0; C. thereby precipitating the solid catalyst component particles.

A gas-phase process for the homopolymerization or copolymerization of propylene with other olefins, including carrying out the polymerization in the presence of a catalyst system made from or containing: (a) a solid catalyst component made from or containing Mg, Ti, halogen, an electron donor selected from 1.3-diethers and an olefin polymer in a specific amount; (b) an aluminum alkyl compound and (c) an external electron donor (ED) compound, wherein components (b) and (c) being employed in amounts such that the Al/(ED) molar ratio ranges from about 2 to about 200.

Gas-phase process for the polymerization of propylene

A solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization, and in particular for the preparation of LLDPE, comprising Mg, Ti, halogen and an electron donor compound (ID) belonging to cyclic ethers having 3-6 carbon atoms, characterized by having the molar ratio Mg/Ti higher than 5, the molar ratio Mg/ID lower than 3, and by a specific X-ray diffraction spectrum.

The present disclosure relates to a solid catalyst component for the (co)polymerization of olefins CH&#x2550;CHR, in which R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising Ti, Mg, and Cl, and optionally an electron donor compound selected from the group consisting of ethers, amines, silanes, carbamates ketones, esters of aliphatic acids, alkyl and aryl esters of optionally substituted aromatic polycarboxylic acids, diol derivatives chosen among monoesters monocarbamates and monoesters monocarbonates or mixtures thereof, comprising from 0.1 to 50% wt of Bi with respect to the total weight of the solid catalyst component.

The present disclosure relates to catalyst systems for the polymerization of olefins of the general formula CH&#x2550;CHR that show improved polymerization activity, wherein R is an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical having 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising (A) a solid catalyst component comprising Ti, Mg, and halogen, (B) an aluminum alkyl compound, and (C) a halogenated cyclic ether compound.

The present disclosure provides a gas-phase polymerization process for preparing polyethylene, wherein halogenated alcohols in combination with a Ti based catalyst component and aluminum alkyls as co-catalyst suppress ethane formation or increase polymerization activity.

Process for the polymerization of ethylene

The present disclosure provides a catalyst system made from or containing: (A) a solid catalyst component made from or containing (i) a titanium compound supported on a magnesium dichloride; (B) an aluminum alkyl compound; and (C) a halogenated organic ester of formula A-COOR, wherein R is a C-Chydrocarbon group and A is a C-Csaturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group in which at least one of the hydrogen atoms is replaced by a chlorine atom. The present disclosure also provides a process for preparing an olefinic polymer, including a polymerization step of polymerizing an olefin in the presence of the catalyst system. The present disclosure also provides an olefinic polymer made therefrom.

Catalyst components for the polymerization of olefins CH&#x2550;CHR wherein R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical having 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising Mg, Ti, Cl and a compound (L) or its derivatives, selected from condensed cyclic structures which are formed by at least an aromatic ring and which are substituted with at least two hydroxy groups, said Cl and Ti atoms being in an amount such as to have a molar ratio ranging from 5 to 50.

A catalyst component comprising Ti, Mg, Al, Cl, and optionally ORgroups in which Ris a C1-C20 hydrocarbon group, optionally containing heteroatoms, up to an amount such as to give a molar OR/Ti ratio lower than 0.5, characterized by the fact that substantially all the titanium atoms are in valence state of 4, that the porosity (P), measured by the mercury method and due to pores with radius equal to or lower than 1 &#x3bc;m, is at least 0.3 cm/g, and by the fact that the Cl/Ti molar ratio is lower than 29. The said catalysts are characterized by high morphological stability under the low molecular weight ethylene polymerization conditions while at the same time maintaining characteristics of high activity.

Catalyst components for the (co)polymerization of ethylene comprising Ti, Mg, halogen, ORI groups, where RI is a C1-C12 hydrocarbon group optionally containing heteroatoms, having ORI/Ti molar ratio in the range 0.1-1.5, a Mg/Ti molar ratio of less than 8, an amount of titanium, with respect to the total weight of said solid catalyst component, higher than 4% by weight characterized by a specific SS-NMR pattern are particularly useful for preparing narrow MWD crystalline ethylene polymers.

A process for preparing crystalline ethylene (co)polymers comprising (co)polymerizing ethylene in the presence of carried out in the presence catalyst system comprising (a) a solid catalyst component comprising Ti, Mg, halogen, ORI groups, where RI is a C1-C12 hydrocarbon group optionally containing heteroatoms, having ORI/Ti molar ratio of at least 0.5, an amount of titanium, with respect to the total weight of said solid catalyst component, higher than 4% by weight, and showing a specific pattern of the SS-NMR; and (b) an aluminum alkyl compound as a cocatalyst. The process allows to obtain in good yields ethylene polymers with narrow MWD.
