A user equipment includes: an interface; a memory; and a processor, communicatively coupled to the interface and the memory, configured to: receive a plurality of requests to process a corresponding plurality of positioning reference signal (PRS) groups, each of the plurality of PRS groups having respective PRS characteristics; determine a priority for processing the plurality of PRS groups according to at least one priority criterion; determine whether a total amount of the PRS characteristics of the plurality of PRS groups exceeds a PRS processing capability of the processor; select, in response to the total amount of the PRS characteristics exceeding the PRS processing capability of the processor, a subset of the plurality of PRS groups based on the priority for processing; and process the subset of the plurality of PRS groups to determine position information.

Positioning reference signal processing

Disclosed are techniques to determine a position of a user equipment (UE). In an aspect, the UE receives a plurality of positioning reference signals (PRS) from a plurality of cells. The UE determines a plurality of time of arrivals (TOA) of the plurality of PRSs, and prunes the plurality of TOAs based on the plurality of PRSs. The UE then derives a time difference of arrival (TDOA) vector from the pruned TOAs. The TDOA vector includes multiple TOA related measurements of multiple cells. The UE prunes the TOAs such that the cells represented in the TDOA vector are sufficiently geographically dispersed to determine the position of the UE at least in 2D.

Simplified cell location information sharing for positioning purposes

Certain aspects relate to techniques for estimating and compensating for antenna array rotation of a wireless node. For example, the antenna array of the wireless node may rotate about one or more of an x-axis, a y-axis, and a z-axis, which may misalign the antenna array relative to another antenna array of another wireless node, causing degradation of communications between the two nodes. In some examples, the wireless node may obtain, from a first antenna array of the other wireless node via a second antenna array of the first wireless node, a first pilot signal and a second pilot signal via a first beam. In some examples, the first wireless node may perform a first alignment compensation based on a phase difference between the first pilot signal and the second pilot signal.

Estimating and compensating antenna array misalignment

An apparatus is configured to operate on an active DL BWP in a source node, where the active DL BWP is not a default DL BWP associated with the UE, and start a BWP inactivity timer at the UE that triggers a BWP switch from an active DL BWP to the default DL BWP after the BWP inactivity timer expires at a first expiration time. Mobility enhancements and power saving for user equipment communication

A transmitted may use a closed loop precoder for line-of-sight (LOS) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications that uses information such as distance feedback or LOS MIMO channel state feedback. A closed loop precoder may be associated with less overhead than a precoder based on full channel knowledge, such as an SVD precoder. A receiver may estimate a channel based on channel state information reference signals transmitted by the transmitter and calculate a spectral efficiency for one or more precoders of a set of precoders associated with the channel for a LOS MIMO mode. The receiver may send feedback to the transmitter that indicates a selected precoder of the set of LOS MIMO precoders based on the calculated spectral efficiencies. The transmitter may precode messages using the reported closed loop precoder.

Method and apparatus for codebook design for closed loop operation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for a transmitter (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or base station) and receiver (e.g., a UE or base station) to transmit and receive data packets that are encoded according to an outer coding technique. The outer coding technique may provide for data bits and parity bits to be included in a single physical layer transmission. In some cases, data packets (e.g., data bits) may be segmented into multiple subpackets, and coding may be performed across different subpackets of different data packets (e.g., in a diagonal coding pattern). In some examples, each transmission in the physical layer may contain both data subpackets and parity subpackets, which may balance an input and an output load of a buffer (e.g., a layer two (L2) decoding buffer at the receiver) during decoding.

Outer coding techniques in wireless communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a set of one or more sidelink resources, and the UE may identify wake-up signal occasions associated with the resources. The UE may monitor for wake-up signals during the wake-up signal occasions, and the UE may further monitor the associated set of one or more resources based on receiving a wake-up signal. In some examples, respective sets of one or more sidelink resources may be associated with a number of multiple-input multiple-output layers used for sidelink communications, or may indicate respective bandwidth parts used for monitoring sidelink transmissions.

Power saving techniques for sidelink communication

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a first network entity of a first network of a first network operator. A method includes receiving, from a second network entity of a second network of a second network operator, frequency allocation information indicating a first allocation pattern identifying, for each of at least one cell, a corresponding frequency channel band of a frequency band spanning a plurality of frequency channel bands, wherein the first allocation pattern identifies a first frequency channel band of the plurality of frequency channel bands for a first cell of the at least one cell; and sending an indication to at least a first user equipment (UE) indicating to communicate in the first cell using a second frequency channel band of the plurality of frequency channel bands that is different than the first frequency channel band.

Spectrum sharing between networks

Techniques are described for wireless communication. An orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) configuration of an uplink channel is identified for communications in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. An OFDMA waveform is generated based on the identified OFDMA configuration. The OFDMA waveform is communicated in a signal in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. A virtual cell identifier of a first base station may be associated with transmissions between the first base station and a first user equipment (UE). A set of common resource blocks may be identified for transmission of a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) between the first base station and the first UE. A configuration of an uplink channel may be dynamically selected for uplink communications in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. A waveform may be generated based on the selected configuration. The waveform may be communicated in a signal in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band.

Techniques for configuring uplink channels in unlicensed radio frequency spectrum bands

Data aware precoding techniques are disclosed. A transmitter may apply a precoder function to payload data to obtain a precoded data transmission. The precoder function may include a first portion, e.g., based on a channel measurement, and a second portion, e.g., based on data for transmission. The transmitter may transmit the precoded data transmission. A receiver may receive a precoded data transmission that is precoded based on a channel measurement and based on data comprised in the data transmission. The receiver may decode the precoded data transmission based on the channel measurement and the data comprised in the data transmission.

Data based precoding techniques

A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may receive a configuration indication for a common uplink portion of a wireless communication structure. A UE may receive an indication of a first assignment of a first PDSCH via a PBCH from a network entity. The first PDSCH may include at least a first portion of a SIB. The first portion of the SIB may include access control information for the network entity and the assignment for a second portion of the SIB. A first user equipment (UE) served by a first cell and a second UE served by a second cell may experience cross link interference (CLI). The UEs may have different subcarrier spacing (SCS) configurations. For example, the uplink SCS of the aggressor UE may be different from the downlink SCS of the victim UE. The serving base stations may configure the UEs with one or more parameters for generating and measuring a signal used to manage the CLI. The parameters may be based on the uplink SCS of the aggressor and the downlink SCS of the victim. The aggressor UE may apply the parameters to generate the CLI measurement signal, and the victim UE may apply the parameters to measure the CLI measurement signal, so the signal from the transmitter fits into the resource grid of the receiver.
