An 3D camera module includes a first and a second imaging units, a storage unit, a color separation unit, a main processor unit, an image processing unit, a driving unit, an image combining unit and two OIS units. The first and second imaging units capture images of an object(s) from different angles. The color separation unit separates the images into red, green and blue colors. The main processor unit calculates MTF values of the images and determines a shooting mode of the 3D camera module. The image processing unit processes the images to compensate for blurring of the images caused by being out of focus. The driving unit drives the first and second imaging units to optimum focusing positions according to MTF values. The image combining unit combines the images into a 3D image. The OIS units respectively detect and compensate for shaking of the first and second imaging units.

The image processing unit processes the image according to the MTF values to compensate for any blurring of the image caused by being out of focus. The driving unit drives the lens module to the point of optimal focus on the object according to MTF values.

Auto-focusing camera module and imaging method using same

An image stabilizer includes a stationary frame with four sidewalls, a moveable frame including four side panels, magnets, a plurality of fine pattern coils, and a resilient plate holding the moveable frame in the stationary frame. Each sidewall includes a receiving hole, a support portion received in the receiving hole, and a raised engagement portion extending from the support portion. The magnets are fixed on the side panels. The fine pattern coils are fixed in the receiving holes and aligned with the magnets and compensate for vibration and movement of the device to which it is affixed. The resilient plate is configured for returning the moveable frame to a resting position when a power supply is cut off.

An exemplary piezoelectric actuator includes a fixed barrel, a movable barrel in the fixed barrel, a piezoelectric driving module, a flexible circuit board on the fixed barrel, a bracing sheet, and a preloading module. The movable barrel receives a lens module. The driving module drives the movable barrel to move relative to the fixed barrel along an optical axis of the lens module. The driving module includes a piezoelectric member on the fixed barrel, and a friction member on the movable barrel and opposite to the friction member. The flexible circuit board is electrically connected with the piezoelectric member. The sheet is attached around the flexible circuit board. The preloading module is between the fixed barrel and the movable barrel. The preloading module is opposite to the piezoelectric driving module for exerting a pressure on the movable barrel, thereby making the friction member resist against the piezoelectric member.
