A display may have an array of pixels. Each pixel may have a light-emitting diode such as an organic light-emitting diode. The organic light-emitting diodes may each have a reflective electrode such as a metal anode and a partially reflective electrode such as a metal cathode. Emissive material may be formed between the electrodes. The electrodes of each organic light-emitting diode may form an optical cavity. A wrinkled layer may be formed over the optical cavity to reduce sensitivity to process variations associated with forming encapsulation structures for the display. The wrinkled layer may include annealed organic layers. The organic layers may wrinkle during an annealing process at an annealing temperature. The annealed organic layers may include a first organic layer with a glass transition temperature below the annealing temperature and a second organic layer with a glass transition temperature above the annealing temperature.

Organic light-emitting diode displays

The present invention provides a polymer stabilization alignment liquid crystal display panel having a plurality of pixel regions defined by plurals of data lines and gate lines. Each pixel region includes a main region and a sub region, and a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode correspond to the main region and the sub region respectively, wherein each of the data lines has a first width adjacent to the main display region and a second width adjacent to the sub display region, and the second width is larger than the first width. Each first pixel electrode is separated from the adjacent data line and thereby forming a gap therebetween. Each second pixel electrode partially overlaps the adjacent data line to form an overlap width. Accordingly, the present invention not only can increase the aperture ratio, but also well control the liquid crystal molecules located near the data lines.

Polymer stabilization alignment liquid crystal display panel and liquid crystal display panel

An organic light emitting device is provided. The organic light emitting device includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer and a light emitting material layer. The second electrode layer is disposed opposite to the first electrode layer. The light emitting material layer is disposed between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, and includes an organic light emitting material and an electron transport material, wherein the electron transport material includes a compound represented by a formula (1) below:

A white color light source of an organic light emitting diode is provided and is suitable for irradiating on plants. The white color light source includes a first color light and a second color light. A peak in the frequency spectrum of the first color light is within a first wavelength range. A peak in the frequency spectrum of the second color light is within a second wavelength range. The white color light source is at least formed by mixing the first color light and the second color light, wherein an intensity of a frequency spectrum of a wavelength range from 520 nm to 580 nm is substantially equal to or less than 20% of a total intensity of a frequency spectrum of the white color light source.

A pixel structure including a substrate, a scan line, a first data line and a first pixel unit is provided. The scan line and the first data line are disposed on the substrate. The first pixel unit includes a first active device and a first pixel electrode. The first active device is electrically connected to the scan line and the first data line. The first pixel electrode electrically connected to the first active device has a first stripe pattern and a plurality of first branches. One side of the first stripe pattern is connected to the first branches extended toward the scan line, and the other side of the first stripe pattern is overlapped with the scan line. The overlapped width of the first stripe pattern with the scan line is substantially equal to 40% to 90% of the width of the first stripe pattern.

A flexible organic light emitting device includes a flexible substrate, an organic light emitting unit and a covering substrate. The organic light emitting unit includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer opposing the first electrode, and a light emitting layer, which is disposed between the first and second electrode layers. The covering substrate includes a base film, an insulation layer and an adhesion layer. An inner surface of the base film is facing an inner surface of the flexible substrate, and space is formed there-between. The insulation layer is disposed on the inner surface of the base film, and an adhesive force between the insulation layer and the organic light emitting unit is less than 0.1 N/cm. The adhesion layer is disposed between the insulation layer and the inner surface of the base film, covers the insulation layer and the organic light emitting unit, and fills the space.

Flexible organic light emitting device and manufacturing method thereof

An active array substrate, a liquid crystal display panel and method for driving the same are provided. The active array substrate includes a plurality of first strip electrodes and second strip electrodes. The sum of one width of the first stripe electrode and one pitch between two adjacent first stripe electrodes is greater than that of one width of the second strip electrode and one pitch between two adjacent second strip electrodes.

Active array substrate, liquid crystal display panel and method for driving the same

The present invention provides a polymer stabilization alignment liquid crystal display panel having a plurality of pixel regions. Each pixel region includes a main region and a sub region, and a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode correspond to the main region and the sub region respectively. Each first pixel electrode is separated from the adjacent data line and thereby forming a gap therebetween. Each second pixel electrode partially overlaps the adjacent data line. In addition, each second pixel electrode includes a plurality of branches, and at least one edge of the branches may be parallel to the data lines. Accordingly, the present invention not only can increase the aperture ratio, but also well control the liquid crystal molecules located near the data lines. Therefore, the display quality of the liquid crystal display panel can be improved.

In one aspect of the invention, an organic light emitting diode device has a substrate, a cathode formed on the substrate, an anode spaced-apart from the cathode, a plurality of electroluminescent units stacked between the cathode and the anode, and a plurality of charge generation layers, each of which is formed between two adjacent electroluminescent units. Each electroluminescent unit has an electron-transport layer, an emission layer formed on the electron-transport layer, and a hole-transport layer formed on the emission layer. The electron-transport layer of the first electroluminescent unit is formed on the cathode, defining a first energy barrier, and the anode is formed on the hole-transport layer of the last electroluminescent unit, defining a second energy barrier. The first energy barrier is higher than the second energy barrier. The first electroluminescent unit has a lifetime longer than that of each of the rest electroluminescent units.

Organic light emitting diode (OLED) device

A liquid crystal display including an active device array substrate, an opposite substrate disposed above the active device array substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate, and spacers is provided. The active device array substrate includes a substrate, pixels, a first dielectric layer and color filter patterns. Each pixel includes a first active device, a first pixel electrode and a capacitor electrode. The capacitor electrode and the first pixel electrode constitute a storage capacitor. The first dielectric layer covers the first active device. The color filter patterns are disposed on the first dielectric layer. Each of the color filter patterns has a first opening disposed above the capacitor electrode to expose the first dielectric layer above the capacitor electrode. Each first pixel electrode is respectively disposed on one of the color filters and within the corresponding first opening.

Liquid crystal display

A display panel including a first substrate, scan lines, data lines, sub-pixel units, a light-shielding layer, a second substrate, and a display medium is provided. Each of the sub-pixel units includes a main display unit and a sub-display unit. The main display unit includes a first switch and a first pixel electrode, wherein the first pixel electrode and the data lines adjacent thereto are separated from each other with a gap (G). The sub-display unit includes a second switch and a second pixel electrode, wherein the second and the data lines adjacent thereto are overlapped with a first overlapping width (W). The light-shielding layer is disposed between two adjacent first pixel electrodes such that the light-shielding layer and one of the first pixel electrodes adjacent thereto are overlapped with a second overlapping width (W). Additionally, the display medium is display between the first substrate and the second substrate.

Display panel

A pixel structure including a substrate, a scan line, a data line, an active device, a capacitor electrode line, an upper electrode pattern and a pixel electrode is described. The scan line and the data line are disposed on the substrate. The active device is electrically connected to the scan line and the data line. The capacitor electrode is disposed on the substrate. The upper electrode pattern is disposed above the capacitor electrode line, and the upper electrode pattern has a first opening therein to expose the capacitor electrode pattern. The pixel electrode is electrically connected with the active device and covers the capacitor electrode line and the upper electrode pattern, wherein the pixel electrode has a middle portion and a plurality of branches connecting to the middle portion, and the middle portion has a second opening therein to expose the first opening.

Pixel structure and display panel

A display panel having a display region and a non-display region is provided. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a display medium between the first substrate and the second substrate. The substrate has a pixel array, a plurality of lead lines, an organic layer and a conductive pattern thereon. The pixel array is disposed within the display region. The lead lines are disposed within the non-display region and electrically connected to the pixel array. The organic layer covers the pixel array and the lead lines. The conductive pattern is disposed on the organic layer in the lead lines. The second substrate has an electrode layer thereon, and the electrode layer is disposed within the display region and the non-display region. In particular, the electrode layer and the conductive pattern are electrically connected to a common voltage.

Display panel with color filter on pixel substrate covering lead lines

A reconfigurable organic light-emitting device and a display apparatus employing the organic light-emitting device, wherein the reconfigurable organic light-emitting device includes at least two organic light-emitting layers and at least one high-energy-gap carrier-blocking layer. The at least one high-energy-gap carrier-blocking layer is formed between the organic light-emitting layers. The structure of the reconfigurable organic light-emitting device can be reconfigured through heating, and the reconfigurable organic light-emitting device may thus emit light characteristic of one layer of the at least two organic light-emitting layers, after a bias voltage is applied on the upper electrode and the lower electrode of the reconfigurable organic light-emitting device. The heating may be performed with a built-in resistive heating source, an external heating source or a light-beam. By employing the reconfigurable organic light-emitting device, a fixed-pattern, passive-matrix, or active-matrix display apparatus of multi-color or full-color may further be fabricated.
