A low-cost, high-performance data center is shown, which is in a hierarchical and heterogeneous architecture. The data center includes at least three groups of servers, providing three kinds of storage media to store three types of data. The three groups of servers are connected to each other via a computer network. For data with medium access frequency, the corresponding group of servers use multi-level cell solid-state drives as the storage media, and these particular multi-level cell solid-state drives operate in a full-disk pseudo-single-level-cell mode.

Hierarchical and heterogeneous data center

A high-security data center, having at least one data storage device, a host and an encryption and decryption key space. Each data storage device has a non-volatile memory and a controller chip. The controller chip includes an encryption and decryption module. The host machine operates the non-volatile memory via the controller chip. The encryption and decryption key space stores a key for the encryption and decryption module to perform data encryption and decryption. The encryption and decryption key space is isolated from the data storage device and the host machine by default so that a user who does not pass identity authentication is unable to operate the encryption and decryption module through the host to decrypt data of the non-volatile memory.

A method for migrating data to avoid read disturbance is introduced to contain the following steps: finding a singular physical-block from physical blocks; performing a test read on data of the iphysical page of the singular physical-block; determining whether the data of the iphysical page of the singular physical-block has passed the test read; and when the data of the iphysical page of the singular physical-block has not passed the test read, moving or copying data of the iphysical page and at least one neighboring physical-page of the singular physical-block to an available physical-block.

A method for migrating data to avoid read disturbance is introduced to contain the following steps: obtaining first read counts corresponding to physical blocks from a first read-count table; obtaining second read counts corresponding to the physical blocks from a second read-count table; subtracting each first read count from one corresponding second read count to generate third read counts; finding a singular physical-block from physical blocks according to the third read counts; performing a test read on data of the iphysical page of the singular physical-block; determining whether the data of the iphysical page of the singular physical block has passed the test read; and if so, moving or copying data of the iphysical page and at least one neighboring physical-page of the singular physical block to an available physical-block.
