Media management systems and methods are provided for authoring, managing, navigating, and collaborating electronic media. The media management systems and methods, collectively referred to herein as a Binder Presentation System (BPS), provide an application for presenting digital content that allows users to quickly create, manage, share and view rich media presentations under one unified interface to address the inadequacies of current slideshow presentation software. The BPS provides tools to users like teachers and business professionals for managing and presenting rich media content.

Media management system

The present invention includes systems, methods, and computer readable media for locating, sorting, and modifying images for future use. A conversion engine submits search requests to an image search engine and accepts the received results. The conversion engine arranges the search results according to selected visual characteristics of the image. Editing tools can then convert the results of the image search into vector based images which can be easily manipulated and enable users to modify the re-ranked images for future use.

System and method for generating usable images

A digital document comprising a multi-channel interface is provided that achieves improved user interaction. The digital document includes a plurality of content channels providing primary content continuously in a looping manner and at least one supplementary channel on a single page. The supplementary channel is configured to provide supplementary content upon the occurrence of an event during playback of the document. Channel content may include video, text, images, web page content and audio. The media content can be managed in a spatial and temporal manner. In addition to media content, a channel may contain interactive regions in the form of hot spots and interactive mapping regions. An authoring tool is also provided for generating a multi-channel interactive digital document.
