This application describes a garment adjusting system that utilizes straps connected to textile elements. A male coupling component with a hook is secured to a first textile element using a first strap, and a female coupling component with a receiving hole is secured to a second textile element using a second strap. The male and female coupling components can be releasably mated by inserting the hook into the receiving hole. Once mated, a level of support provided by the first and/or second textile elements may be adjusted by adjustably sliding the second strap through the female coupling component to adjust a length of the second strap.

Garment adjusting system

An athletic performance monitoring system includes an article of apparel having a upper body portion and a lower body portion, a sensor system configured to sense a movement of the user and including an upper body sensor connected to the upper body portion, a lower body sensor connected to the lower body portion, at least one port in communication with the sensors, and a plurality of conductive leads connecting the sensors to the port(s). The sensors may be stretch-based sensors that increase in resistance upon tensile deformation. At least one electronic module is connected to the port(s) to collect movement data from the sensors through the port(s). The module(s) may analyze the movement data and provide real-time feedback to the user regarding the movement of the user, based on analysis of the movement data, or the module(s) may transmit the movement data to an external device for analysis.

An article of apparel includes a bladder including an interior void, a compressible component disposed within the interior void and including a first zone, the first zone operable between a contracted state and a relaxed state, and a port fluidly coupled to the bladder and operable to selectively permit fluid communication with the interior void.

Aspects herein are directed to a braided textile component for a bra. The braided textile component includes base strands of a first material forming a breast-covering portion and a lacing that includes one or more strands of a second material with a property that is different from the first property. The lacing is integrally braided within a portion of the braided textile component. A first segment of the lacing may extend in a first direction away from a medial perimeter of the breast-covering portion, and a second segment may extend in a second direction towards the medial perimeter. The lacing may extend along the lateral region of the breast-covering portion, and the braided textile component may include a second lacing extending along the medial region. The braided textile may also include a second breast-covering portion with base strands and an integrated lacing.

A method of forming an article of apparel having a sensor system includes extruding one or more polymeric materials onto the article of apparel to form one or a plurality of sensors. The polymeric material(s) may have a conductive particulate material dispersed therein. Conductive leads connecting the sensors to a port may also be formed of a polymeric material having a conductive particulate material dispersed therein. The conductive material may be dispersed in the sensor(s) at a first dispersion density and in the leads at a second dispersion density. Each of the sensors is configured to increase in resistance when deformed under pressure, which is detected by a module connected to the port. The second dispersion density is such that each of the leads has sufficient conductivity that the leads are configured to conduct an electronic signal between each sensor and the port in any state of deformation.

Method of forming apparel having sensor system

A sensor system configured for use with an article of apparel includes one or a plurality of sensors formed of a polymeric material having a conductive particulate material dispersed therein and conductive leads connecting the sensors to a port. The leads may also be formed of a polymeric material having a conductive particulate material dispersed therein. The conductive material is dispersed in the sensor(s) at a first dispersion density and the conductive material is dispersed in the leads at a second dispersion density that is higher than the first dispersion density. Each of the sensors is configured to increase in resistance when deformed under pressure, which is detected by a module connected to the port. The second dispersion density is such that each of the leads has sufficient conductivity that the leads are configured to conduct an electronic signal between each sensor and the port in any state of deformation.

A composite element includes a base or textile layer, a thermoplastic polymer material, a thread, and a cover layer. The base layer has a first surface and an opposite second surface. The polymer material is separate from the base layer, extends into the base layer, and is at least partially located at the first surface. The thread has a section lying adjacent to the first surface layer and substantially parallel to the first surface throughout a distance of at least five centimeters, and the thread is bonded to the base layer with the polymer material. The cover layer is located adjacent to the first surface and bonded to the base layer with the polymer material, and the section of the thread is located between the cover layer and the base layer.

A composite element includes a base layer, a thermoplastic polymer material, a thread, and a cover layer. The base layer has a first surface and an opposite second surface. The polymer material is separate from the base layer, extends into the base layer, and is at least partially located at the first surface. The thread has a section lying adjacent to the first surface layer and substantially parallel to the first surface throughout a distance of at least five centimeters, and the thread is bonded to the base layer with the polymer material. The cover layer is located adjacent to the first surface and bonded to the base layer with the polymer material, and the section of the thread is located between the cover layer and the base layer.

Interior members for foot-receiving devices, such as bootie elements for articles of footwear, include a material element at least partially defining a foot-receiving chamber. This material element may include, in some examples, a heel-surrounding portion, a lateral side portion, a medial side portion, and a seamless plantar portion in a continuous, one-piece arrangement. Additionally or alternatively, in some examples, the material element may include a heel-surrounding portion, a lateral side portion, a medial side portion, a plantar surface, and a double layer of the material element at least along an Achilles area portion. Additional aspects relate to material blanks for forming such interior members as well as to foot-receiving devices, such as athletic footwear, including such interior members.
