Methods, systems and computer program products for replaying arguments of a module in real-time is provided. Input includes indicator of the original execution environment, a location of load libraries having a plurality of callback modules, and a location of previously recorded data. A mapping table that corresponds to the execution environment is loaded into system memory. Batch execution of an application starts. Environmental calls to the application are intercepted. The transaction id and arguments are identified and previously recorded data that corresponds to the transaction id is loaded into system memory. The arguments to the call are populated with data from the corresponding record in the recorded data. Based on there being a corresponding callback module for the transaction, invoking the callback module and augmenting or replacing the arguments to the call with data in the callback module.

Intercepting and replaying interactions with transactional and database environments

A technique relates comparing content. A first set of content in a first document and a second set of content in a second document are normalized. The first set of content in the first document and the second set of content in the second document are tokenized. The first set of content having been tokenized and the second set of content having been tokenized are compared in order to find differences in the second set of content with respect to the first set of content. The differences are compiled in a changes map. The differences in the changes map are analyzed to determine types of the differences in the first set of content and the second set of content, and predefined differences are to be excluded. A report of the differences is generated, and the report delineates the types of the differences while excluding the predefined differences.

A method and apparatus for conducting business via the worldwide Web in which business programming is isolated from Web user interface programming. In accordance with the invention, a gateway servlet interfaces between a consumer's browser's software, a plurality of Java beans, Java Server Pages, and a e-business retailer's back-end business software running, for instance, on a separate mainframe. The gateway servlet receives input information from the consumer and instantiates and populates a Java bean that confirms that the input data has been entered correctly. It then forwards the verified input data the back-end software for business processing. The back-end software returns a user interface record object to the gateway which then instantiates and populates another Java bean to format the data. The gateway then invokes a Java Server Page that interfaces with the Java bean in order to generate a HTML page to be returned to the user based on the user input information and the business back-end processing thereof.

Method and apparatus for application program specification and run time execution providing for the separation of business application programming and user interface programming

The present invention provides a method, system, and computer program product for programmatically manipulating a user interface process to maintain synchronization of object-oriented programming language methods during a rollback operation in a procedural logic debugger. This technique is designed for use in integrated execution environments that provide seamless execution of, and transfer of control between, objects written in an object-oriented programming language and business logic written in a procedural programming language, and which span multiple programming models based on different technologies. The disclosed technique enables developers to have greater control over the debugging process by manipulating the next statement to be executed. The procedural debugger automatically positions to the selected statement, and a corresponding user interface process is then programmatically adjusted to bring the user interface into synchronization with the selected statement. (Or, the debugger itself may initiate the repositioning operation, in which case the technique operates in the same manner to provide a synchronized result.)

Manipulation of an object-oriented user interface process to provide rollback of object-oriented scripts from a procedural business logic debugger

The present invention provides a method, system, and computer program for providing synchronous execution between objects written in an object-oriented programming language and business logic written in a procedural programming language, while executing under control of an interactive test facility for debugging purposes. A single, logical interface is provided during debugging, while actually spanning multiple programming models based on different technologies. Using the present invention, the developer is able to debug both the object-oriented user interface part and the procedural business logic part of an application as the code executes in an integrated manner.

Synchronous execution of object-oriented scripts and procedural code from within an interactive test facility

The present invention provides a method, system, and computer program product for blending object-oriented (OO) programming languages with traditional (non-OO) programming languages such that they can execute and share data in a coordinated and integrated manner. Occurrence of a special keyword construct within a non-OO function triggers invocation of an OO method or script, the name of which is preferably specified as a parameter. The OO script executes synchronously, returning control to the non-OO function upon completion. The disclosed technique enables OO scripts to provide a more natural, logical interface to users wherein results of the non-OO function may be provided when most appropriate to the logic being executed, rather than requiring the non-OO function to be artificially designed as in prior art systems which must account for the limitations of their non-integrated execution environment.
