A personal monitoring system includes one or more passive biometric sensors and a communication device. A passive biometric sensor is operable to sense a body condition of a body in accordance with a sense signal at a sense frequency to produce sensed data of a body condition. The passive biometric sensor is further operable to transmit an e-field signal via the body regarding the sensed data, wherein the e-field signal is in accordance with an e-field transmit/receive frequency. The communication device is operable to receive the e-field signal via the body. The communication device is further operable to recover the sensed data from the received e-field signal.

In an example, a computing device receives a data object for storage in memory of the storage network and determines a system level storage efficiency preference associated with the data object. The computing device selects a set of storage nodes of a plurality of sets of storage nodes for storage of the data object based, at least in part, on the system level storage efficiency preference. The computing device further determines dispersed storage error encoding parameters for the data object, encodes the data object in accordance with the dispersed storage error encoding parameters to produce encoded data slices, and generates system addressing information for the encoded data slices.

A method for data transmission includes receiving a first data stream for transmission to a mobile device, segmenting the first data stream to produce a first plurality of data segments and receiving a second data stream, where the second data stream including location information for the mobile device. A data matrix is then created from the first and second plurality of data blocks and then based on the data matrix transmitting a first data block from each of the first and second plurality of data blocks to a first relay unit. Finally, based on the data matrix a second data block from each of the first and second plurality of data blocks is transmitted to a second relay unit.

System and method for time-aligning data transmission to a mobile receiver

A pacemaker system includes a drive-sense circuit (DSC) operably coupled to a pacemaker lead. The DSC generates a pace signal including electrical impulses based on a reference signal. The DSC provides the pace signal via the pacemaker lead to an electrically responsive portion of a cardiac conductive system of a subject to facilitate cardiac operation of a cardiovascular system of the subject. The DSC senses, via the pacemaker lead, cardiac electrical activity of the cardiovascular system of the subject that is generated in response to the pace signal and electrically coupled into the pacemaker lead and generates a digital signal that is representative of the cardiac electrical activity of the cardiovascular system of the subject that is sensed via the pacemaker lead. The DSC provides digital information to one or more processing modules that includes and/or is coupled to memory and that provide the reference signal to the DSC.

The output operational amplifier compares receive signals to produce a signal representative of the contents with respect to positioning of the first and second electrodes.

A method for execution by one or more computing devices of a massive data ingestion system includes receiving data for storage in the massive data ingestion system. The method further includes storing a data segment of the data in a cache memory of the massive data ingestion system. The method further includes error encoding, in accordance with error encoding parameters, the data segment to produce a set of encoded data slices, wherein the error encoding parameters include a pillar width number and a decode threshold number, and wherein the decode threshold number is a minimum number of encoded data slices needed to reconstruct the data segment. The method further includes storing the set of encoded data slices in a set of storage units of the massive data ingestion system.

A regulation signal is generated based on the comparison signal and used to regulate the regulated characteristic of the drive signal. A control module controls the regulated source circuit and the loop correction circuit to iterate through at least a first combination and a second combination of regulated characteristics and controlled characteristics.
