A back tension archery release aid including a rotatable safety release lever. The safety release lever is engaged and operated by the outer fingers of an archer. Once an archer achieves full draw, the release lever is operated by the archer's outer fingers to lock a portion of a release head assembly in place. Further rotation of the release releases the bowstring and fires an arrow. Certain back tension release aid embodiments include magnets which assist in holding a sear and bridge together within the release head assembly prior to releasing an arrow and assist in resetting the release after an arrow is released.

Archery release aid

Certain embodiments of the present disclosure describe a compound archery bow that has a rigid vertical riser structure. At least one flexible limb extends rearward from the vertical riser structure. One end of the flexible limb is secured to the cable arrangement of the compound bow, so that when the bowstring is drawn, the flexible limb is flexed toward the cams of the bow. As the flexible limb is bent, it stores energy that is transferred to an arrow when the bowstring is released.

Certain embodiments of the present disclosure describe a crossbow that includes a stock assembly. Flexible limbs extend laterally from the stock assembly. Cams are rigidly attached directly to the stock assembly or to extensions from the stock assembly, typically within an area defined by the limbs.

Crossbow cam system

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a two piece modular draw stop system for an archery bow cam including a positioner piece and an abutment piece. The positioner piece defines a groove for a power cable of the archery bow and is arranged on the cam to present the power cable toward the abutment piece upon rotation of the cam. The abutment piece is configured to abut the power cable to impede further rotation of the cam. The abutment piece may be reversible to allow different draw lengths of the bowstring at a selected mounting location.

Modular adjustable cam stop arrangement

Archery bow arrangements described herein include an archery bow body defining opposing limb tips and rotational elements mounted at the limb tips. A bowstring and additional cable portions extend between the limb tips. A cable guard extends from the archery bow body. The cable guard includes two slider pieces which each engage one portion of the cable arrangement and which can each separately translate forward or rearward during the bow's draw and release cycle. The slider pieces can preferably translate relative to each other, yet can each form limits to the translation of the other slider. Preferably, each slider is slidable to allow the respective cable portion to remain substantially straight or imparts only a minimal forward or rearward bend angle during the bow's draw and release cycle.
