A spot cleaning apparatus has a housing, a fluid distribution system, a fluid recovery system, an agitation system, at least one UV light emitting element, an optional steam generator, and a controller to automatically monitor and control inputs and outputs to the systems for spot and stain removal and surface sanitization without attendance by a user. A suction nozzle, agitation machine, and optionally, at least one UV light emitting element are mounted to the housing for movement over the surface to be cleaned relative to a stationary housing. Optionally, the spot cleaning apparatus can be operated in manual mode.

A handheld vacuum cleaner according to the invention comprises a housing, a dirt cup, a latch coupled between the dirt cup and the housing for selectively joining the dirt cup to the housing, a filter positioned in the dirt cup between the inlet and the outlet, and a plurality of different nozzle assemblies, each having at least one nozzle opening and each having an outlet opening at a back end thereof that is removable coupled to the dirt cup front end.

A vacuum cleaner comprises a hair collection assembly having a hair collection element adapted to collection hair from a surface. The hair collection assembly can be mounted to the cleaning head of the vacuum cleaner for movement between a use position in which the hair collection element is in contact with the surface and a second position in which the hair collection element in spaced from the surface. The hair collection element can further be configured to collect hair from the surface when the cleaning head is moved in a first direction and to not collect hair from the surface when the cleaning head is moved in a second direction. A cyclone separator assembly comprises a cyclone separator that removes large particles of dirt from a working airstream as it flows through the cyclone separator, and the separated large particles of dirt are deposited into a dirt cup. The cyclone separator assembly further includes a fine particle separation member comprising a plurality of apertures for separating fine particles of dirt from air in the cyclone separator or the dirt cup.

A handheld cleaning apparatus for cleaning carpets and other surfaces comprises a housing, a motorized cleaning head, and a liquid container assembly removably mounted to the housing for storing and dispensing a cleaning liquid onto the surface to be cleaned. The housing and the cleaning head are designed such that the user can easily and comfortably apply a downward force to the cleaning head. Additionally, the liquid container preferably comprises a manual spray dispenser having an outlet orifice that is offset from the cleaning head for unobstructed dispensation of cleaning fluid onto the surface to be cleaned. A selectively heated pressure tip with a rounded end is mounted to the cleaning head for cleaning stains.

A process of filling containers includes a passivating the filling equipment immediately prior to filling the containers with an oxidizing composition. Adjacent containers filled with different compositions are oriented relative to each other by marking the containers with a visible indicia representative of a pick up point of a dip tube within the container, rotating the containers relative to each other until the pick up point of each dip tube is positioned is a predetermined relationship to each other and thereafter adhering the containers are to each other in the predetermined relationship.

A battery-powered, upright vacuum sweeper comprises a base assembly and a handle pivotably attached thereto. The base assembly comprises a vacuum fan assembly fluidly communicating with an inlet for vacuuming dust and the debris particles from a surface into a removable reservoir. A rotating roller brush attached to the base assembly sweeps the particles into the inlet. A dust pad assembly comprises a disposable dust cloth extending over a portion of the base assembly in contact with the surface to be cleaned for removing dust particles which are not removed by vacuuming.
