An apparatus for mixing an additive into a fluid to form a settable mixture includes a main fluid passageway having an inlet for receiving a supply of the fluid and an outlet for dispensing the fluid, the passageway having a longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes a control valve defining a portion of the main fluid passageway and configured for selectively controlling the flow of fluid in the passageway, an additive injector disposed in the passageway and having an emitter disposed in close relationship with the axis and oriented toward the outlet. A static mixer is disposed between the injector and the outlet for enhancing the uniform mixing of the additive and the fluid. Connection points between the inlet, the valve and the static mixer are configured for smooth transition of fluid and the prevention of at least one of the collection and premature setting of the mixture.

Continuous slurry dispenser apparatus

A master/slave pump assembly employs a dual diaphragm pump as the master pump. An abrasive fluid, such as a resin containing abrasive particles, can be pumped by the dual diaphragm pump without the damage that would result from exposure of seals to the abrasive fluid. The slave pump, which can pump a catalyst or other secondary fluid, is driven in response to movement of the diaphragms and the shaft connecting the two diaphragms. A force or a signal dependent upon the actual mass flow rate of the primary fluid, can be communicated hydraulically or electrically to the slave pump, regardless of viscosity or environmental factors. An adjustable linkage is employed to alter the ratio of the mass flow rates of the two fluids.

Master/slave pump assembly employing diaphragm pump

A dual rotor, ram fed metering pump is especially suited for pumping high viscosity fluids, such as methacrylate resins, used in heavy duty adhesives In addition to pumping viscous materials, this metering pump also pumps a less viscous reactive fluid in proper proportion to a mixing zone or mixing gun where the two material are mixed. A rotary lobe pump is used to pump the viscous material and a rotary pump driven by the same gearbox delivers the secondary fluid. This fluid delivery apparatus also includes an intake that can be mounted on a standard pressure primmer ram to pump viscous material from a storage drum or container A single compact all-in-one metering pump package can be mounted directly to the ram eliminating the need for a separate ram mounted pump.

Rotary lobe pump metering assembly

A slurry spray machine for spraying a settable slurry includes a main passageway configured for receiving a supply of pressurized slurry and having a supply end and an outlet end opposite the supply end. A first compressed gas inlet is disposed intermediate the supply and outlet ends and in fluid communication with the passageway for introducing a first supply of pressurized gas into the slurry, and a second pressurized gas inlet is disposed closer to the outlet end than the first inlet and in fluid communication with the passageway for introducing a second supply of pressurized gas into the slurry. A pressurized supply of adjuvant is provided in fluid communication with the second pressurized gas inlet for providing a blended gas to the second gas inlet. At least one valve is provided for controlling the flow of slurry through the passageway and the flow of the first and second gases into the passageway. Prior to the pressurized ejection of the slurry from the outlet end, the first gas is injected into the slurry, and the blended gas is mixed with the slurry and the first pressurized gas between the first gas inlet and the outlet end.
